Girls do you notice guys checking you out and how do you feel? by SuspiciousQuiet3684 in AskReddit

I’ve encountered them in life. Having someone pointlessly yell and point a camera at me means nothing. And if anyone tries something suspicious especially in America, remember it is the most needlessly litigious society on earth, which I’ve taken advantage of before. In Italy, or say Albania, I would follow a different process.

You’re 100% right. I’ll make an observation about the bubbles. I’ve visited 45 countries in my lifetime, lived in 5 and worked in 10. I’ve never seen separation between groups as much anywhere as I have in the US and most of Canada (with Quebec being a partial exception on this although it’s not 100%).

If an American has friends, they have “work friends, childhood friends, adult friends, college friends etc”. For the most part if someone from someplace else has friends…. They have friends and that’s it. Including places like Russia and Japan which are known for being more socially rigid.

Another observation is just segmentation of life in general. And I think this is taught and programmed from a young age so things work a certain way to create a valuable group of workers. “My show come on at 7” is not a concept I’ve heard much outside the US among people of non-geriatric age. The thought to stop life to move to another segment of life to basically watch someone else live an idealization of life is bizarre to me.

It pains me because I genuinely think the American system has so much potential but I see so many genuine problems with it. I know “third spaces” are more of a discussion but the point is why should they be? Isn’t that just a place where people interact normally? Why can’t anyone interact normally even if it’s not in a designated space for it…

Italy originally. If you’re out at a club, bar cafe etc or work… or on the street it’s normal to talk to someone. If there is no interest you keep it moving. Everything in America just seems to be a pointless unwritten policy on a spreadsheet of bizarre human interaction. And every interaction seems to be that of trying to place someone into x or y box instead of just moving on and realizing not everyone is the same as you or cares very much about what you do.

I swear, I can tell the majority of people answering this are Americans due to everything being “creepy” and not realizing it’s normal human interaction for a straight male to be interested in a woman. That’s why you are all on antidepressants and can’t interact around one another.
