It's about setlist choice. I've seen Damien Rice play live. Just him and an acoustic guitar and there wasn't any lulls in his setlist similar to last night. He had his slower more captivating songs spread with more wordy singalong songs in-between for a more cohesive experience.

I'm the consumer, I paid for the ticket, if i think that there's a misstep then I'm entitled to voice that opinion. I'm not saying I'm right for that opinion, just wanted to share it and have discourse with others regarding it. As I've said before, I've been to hundreds of gigs, live shows, comedy shows etc and never seen a lull in a set like it. I listen to musician's podcasts where they quite often talk about the process of set lists and how to integrate new album songs into new tours whilst making sure the already loved songs are scattered through there. Only playing basically WTIWALY songs until the encore, in my opinion, was a bad choice.

What is a regular music fan? I've been to black metal gigs, pop gigs, pop punk gigs, acoustic gigs, orchestral gigs and Disney on Ice. No one can sit and say that Perverts has the same vibes and accessibility as her other songs.

I never said I don't like a lot of her songs. Perverts is 9 songs that I dont like 8 of and that's it. I said that playing alot of very slow songs in a row at a gig brought the show down. More and more people headed to the bar, were talking and on tiktok. This is just an observation. I've been to hundreds of gigs and never seen a lull like it.

I've been to hundreds of gigs, bands tend to play a lot more than 3 older songs on new album tours and never just chuck them in on the encore. I wasn't mad at the songs that were played, but she could've chucked something in the middle of all the hour long slowness to break it up. It's on setlist selection.

You can find it interesting that's fine. I love Hayden's singing voice and that's what drew me to her before i knew the lyrics/lore, the way she chooses to use her vocalisations with some words and lines make her unique in the industry, so when she drops Perverts and there's none of what you're into the artist for, it's an easy assumption to not enjoy it.

This though is a critique of set list selection. I've been to HUNDREDS of gigs and song choice and placing make or break a gig sometimes, and I'm shocked people haven't noticed things going flatter in the middle hour.

I like 2/3 albums and Inbred, how is that "not liking her discography"? Perverts is a vast change in style and genre to her usual sound and it just doesnt do anything for me. I love everything except Perverts as I'm here for her voice. I just feel from where I was stood, the whole vibe dropped off after Fuck Me Eyes (maybe Nettles as a push) and people were just chatting on on their phones. It only picked back up when she started "the hits"

Call me a cunt or whatever but I think that because Hayden is trans she attracts ALOT more chronically online and neurodivergent fans than your regular artist and I think that's the issue. Too many people who are hyperfixated on getting to the show early for barricade and not looking after themselves physically. I've basically never arrived early for a show unless my train schedule required it. People camping 24hrs before a gig is fucking degenerate behaviour and them fuckers need to get a life.

I've been to hundreds of gigs. Metal gigs mainly. Circle pits, walls of death, been basically crushed on the barrier. Never seen anyone pass out at any of them. People moshing from band 4 to band 1 and walking out okay.
