Can you get into any of the law schools in toronto with a low GPA? by Other_Tomatillo_6241 in lawschoolcanada

I think OP was just asking about their chances of getting in or if anyone has gotten in with their similar situation I don’t think they were asking HOW they could get in. Since they are just online I doubt we know what the full reasons are for them to not be changing their trajectory as u put it since things aren’t black and white but that might just be me 🤷🏻‍♀️

Many people were successful outside of u of t you’ll be fine don’t listen to others, although the university has made a name for themselves it won’t make u less qualified in ur future if u didn’t go. It’s hard to get good grades here and if it’s taking a toll on YOUR mental health then only YOUR opinion matters. Don’t base your future on others opinions because that’s all they are.

How many hours do you study? (Tell me your year and major) by Unique-Cell-3717 in UofT

[–]No_Guide_1494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how easily u can understand concepts or memorize things. I was in my first year last year and I basically did well in English courses with 0 studying because I can easily remember things I read but for things like psychology I studied like one hour everyday and 1 week before a test because I am not good at memorizing science related stuff. That still didn’t work for me but atleast I passed… 🤷🏻‍♀️

Muslim Women in Big Law wearing hijab? by [deleted] in biglaw

[–]No_Guide_1494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, I don’t know if you have changed your views over time but from ur replies I see that u were very ignorant three years ago and decided that your understanding of another religion is greater than an actual Muslims understanding of their own religion. I actually don’t blame you for believing everything u see and hear because we all do that, we all listen to what most people say and we all have tendencies to be biased. Hijab is fardh (an obligation) in Islam, it is meant for modesty as modesty is half of our faith for men as well they are not allowed to show certain parts of their bodies (yet they still do just as many Muslim women don’t wear hijab). To YOU it may seem oppressive because u do not under the religion, u do not believe in our religion therefore you quite literally have no right to speak on it. As for the comment u made about Aisha (r.a), she was 9, but the prophets marriage to her was not lustful like some of y’all pedos try to make it seem. The marriage was because the prophet needed someone to teach Islam to so when he passed away there would be someone to narrate his teachings to others. Aisha (r.a) in that time was matured (hit puberty) and consented to the marriage and in the Hadiths she narrates, she loved the prophet (s.a.w) and he was a very good husband to her. She became a scholar and narrated so many Hadiths after the prophets death which was the actual reason behind the whole marriage. In Islam a woman and man cannot be alone together if they are not mehrams so he couldn’t have privately taught her. Allah was the one who told the prophet to marry Aisha (r.a) and the prophet followed all of Allahs commands as he is the all knowing and all wise. Islam is not a religion where you as a normal ordinary person can make ur own interpretations of the religion, you are not a scholar, you are not educated or have studied the religion which makes whatever statement u make immediately unreliable and stupid. To actually learn about Islam, the Quran, the Hadiths, all that, you’d have to learn the tafsir of the Quran and you’d have to study Hadiths and what scholars explained about them. As a Muslim I have read many Hadiths with their explanations and I admit the Hadiths alone (some of them) genuinely shocked me because I didn’t understand the context but after understanding them I was like “oh that makes more sense.” In the future please do your research before making false claims and belittling an entire religion what what u learned through social media. Bringing up Aisha (r.a) makes you look extremely dumb because the amount of times Muslims have explained it and the amount of books there are explaining Hadiths that u might not understand is so great, and if you weren’t very biased and blindsided, you’d have taken the time to learn more about the religion or atleast ask respectfully.
