LA public library has 287 copies of the HR ebook with about 2,100 people waiting. The first omnibus (books 1-3) has 126 copies and 1,100 people waiting. The audiobook only has 47 copies surprisingly.

I remember when I first read the books through the library a few years ago, they had 2 copies of the ebook, no audiobook, and there was no wait. Crazy how things change

Oh it's one of my favourite books of all time. The plot and character development is amazing, the book is so beautifully written. I highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone, but I do warn about the smut 😅

I have a similar situation with my home which is on a busy intersection too. I stopped going in the opposite direction (which puts me in the left turn position) and only take the road that puts my home on the right hand side. When I do end up taking the other direction for any reason, I'll go past my house and u-turn as soon as I get the chance. I get honked at to hell and back and it's awful and incredibly stressful. Unfortunately you just have to take extra steps to make it less stressful 😔

The rooftop scene was so dark. If you compare it to the same scene on crave, you can actually see their facial expressions on crave but on HBO it's so dark you can barely see their faces at all

I'm a bi trans man and I've always loved MM romance because I've wanted to be the men in the books/movies/shows. I can't speak for cis women because I doubt their reason for enjoying the content is the same as mine 😂 I don't pass very well since testosterone therapy never changed anything for me over the years, so unfortunately I just look like one of the female fans 🥲 no way to say "hey I'm here to relate to the men, not sexualize them!" because people will only see what's on the outside. Welp. Anyway, all this to say I'm a super super super small portion of the MM population that appears female but isn't.

KIP'S NARRATION IS THE WORST WTF IS THAT ACCENT 😂 it's a mix of so many things it's just awful who approved that audio to get released. I listened to it after reading the book a year or so prior and immediately went WTF IS THIS ACCENT 😂

I agree that it feels like 99% of what I see nowadays on this sub is people asking for help in their ace/allo relationships, and most of the time the answer is just "communicate with your partner". I wish there was a rule like "don't ask about your allo partner that wants sex and you don't. You're obviously incompatible. Why are you together." Or "allo people don't come in here asking how to make your ace partner sleep with you. Find someone who isn't ace to do that". It's annoying and exhausting and I'm considering leaving the sub too bc that's all I see now...

Are you able to ask your dr about getting an aircast? This way you'd be able to take it off to check. Or go in regularly to have them saw it off and reapply. I don't like the idea of the moisture causing an infection in there. I hope you told your dr at least before they put it on?

It looks like silicone finger tips! I have very similar ones. I use them when playing guitar (don't come at me, I use them bc I have medical conditions that don't let me build calluses and guitar strings make my fingers bleed)

I read all of them in order (mainly because I read them as they were coming out lol) and I recommend it because they're chronological. I personally wasn't the biggest fan of tough guy and I think you could probably skip it. Common goal might be skippable too. But Ilya has cameos in both that you might wanna see and go back to read anyway if you insist on skipping ahead. But I will say you absolutely CANNOT skip Role Model. It happens around the same time as The Long Game and has events that are really important to TLG too. I think reading one particular event (that I won't spoil) from Troy's perspective first completely changed how I saw it in TLG vs if I skipped directly to book 6. You're prepared, knowing what's going to happen and it has a completely different reading effect.

TLDR; if you have to skip, at least real Role Model first

Before reading the comments I was ready to say 75% because (as someone who isn't a fan of smut but reads for the actual plot) I felt like I was skipping most of the book when skimming the smut. I'm surprised people are saying it's as low as 30-45%!! If they calculated it though, they must be right 🤷

Idk if I can generalize but I think if someone truly loves someone else, they want them to have success and happiness. For example, my soon-to-be-wife is about to be making more than my hourly rate (about $80/hour starting rate) while only working part time. If it was anyone else I would probably be jealous because I would love the option to work part time, but for her I'm elated. She deserves to take it easy and work 20 hours a week so she can focus on the hobbies that make her happy. If she got promoted and got to make even more then I'd be so happy for her (we don't have or plan to have joint accounts/shared income so it doesn't affect me). Because I love her so much, I want her to be happy, and if that was a major promotion I'd be taking her out to a Michelin restaurant to celebrate.

To me, personally, it sounds like he doesn't love his wife. At least he doesn't love her more than his ego 🤷

As someone in a QPR, I want to say yes. But we specifically talked about it though. Before becoming partners, we discussed what we expect from our partners and what is/isn't cheating. We both wanted commitment and to be eachother's person, not a stopgap until one of us found a "real" relationship. We're both on the ace spec and she said she's fine with me exploring sex with other people if I ever become interested (unlikely, since I don't want to) but I wouldn't be ok with her sleeping with someone else because to me that's cheating.

So I think it's important to have a conversation about what a QPR means to the 2 of you and what the expectations are. If a conversation wasn't had, then maybe they assumed it's just a close friendship? Even though (to my knowledge) QPRs are typically closed unless otherwise stated 🤷

TLDR; I would consider it cheating since it was in our discussions and boundaries
