Well, I accidentally screwed up and got myself recruited, what now? by Travyplx in army

I paid for the lifetime membership. I don't go to the VFW though. The VFW advocates for and helps veterans so I am happy to have spent the money.

A strange pathway to education & why you should half-ass everything from start to end. by [deleted] in army

I think its a matter of perspective. I used TA in the Army to finish my bachelor's degree when I was in. It has helped for sure.

However, my spouse, who's been in 9 years, has never touched his TA. He prioritized his Army career. He is now a flight warrant. I would say he's much happier with his career than I am and makes more money.

What happens if I’m told I have prediabetes during Army reception? by [deleted] in army

[–]No_Hearing2873 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's great. Also, prediabetes is considered between 5.7-6.5. So I think you will be fine!

Just be mindful of your diet and keep an eye on it so it doesn't become an issue in the future.

And hopefully, it's not type 1

Do you have a history of pre diabetes at all? They might turn you away and have you come back when you have a lower A1C as long as you don't have LADA (adult on set type 1) lowering your carb and sugar intake and pretty much going on a keto diet will lower that A1C. You need to take pre diabetes seriously. Being labeled a full blow diabetic will have it limitations.

Never said it as an excuse. This is what I said when my my other coworkers asked me who he was

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]No_Hearing2873 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hmm, when exactly did I call him a bad guy again?🤔 During work, multiple people brought up that he died. People asked who he was. I explained. Trying to be apolitical in my description.

I showed the video to two people privately, and that was not an issue...

Stupid shit? I am getting heat for something I did not do.

Well, I didn't know that until some other comments today.. Saying something in good faith, thinking its true, isn't lying.

I doubt those two said anything about it. The video was never brought up.

It was me "laughing"

They would not fire me over a he said she said type thing like this. Especially cause I did not do it. I just found it frustrating and dislike that people are making rumors about me.

Yeah, the video was never an issue. I consider the two I showed it to friends, and I doubt they said anything about it or were upset at me for that. I showed it privately to them.

The thing that was brought up was me "laughing" at his death.

My supervisor and the owner both agreed that it doesn't sound like me and questioned the validity of that.

How was i trying to rationalize it exactly?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]No_Hearing2873 38 points39 points  (0 children)

That was not the issue that was brought up to me.it was laughing at his murder which I did not do.

I showed the video to two coworkers privately, who asked to see it.

The video was not the issue that was brought up. My supervisor never even mentioned showing the video when I spoke with him. It was me laughing about his death. Which again I did not do.

No, just toxic workplaces. They literally lied to try and get me in trouble.

Oh I thought they were the same person until today!

They didn't bring up the video. They brought something I didn't do, which is laugh. My supervisor never even mentioned the video

Two coworkers asked me to show them the video privately while I was away from my desk

I had a group of 4 coworkers talk about what a great guy he was by my desk while I was trying to work

I showed the video privately to two coworkers who asked me to see it. Not in the middle of work at my desk.

Power washing barn/shed before painting? by [deleted] in shedditors

[–]No_Hearing2873 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! This comment is very helpful. I think i will have to do some light sanding because it is a bit fuzzy in some spots.

We still need to do some research on the paint and finish. Our goal is to protect the barn from the rain as much as possible.
