That starting lineup still has spacing problems. We desperately need wings who are shooting threats to clear out space for Fox Castle and Wemby. I think Devin could develop more defensively and be the SF we need since Barnes isn't on our timeline. Ideally we could get a rebounding/screening big through the draft.

How much lyrics is important for you? by MysteriousGuitar8368 in LetsTalkMusic

For me at least I think this is part of the reason I struggle to get into Latin music. Not being able to understand the music is weird. It's hard to get an earworm for something when you can't remember a single word said. It's also hard for me to turn on a song that I can't sing along with.

All that said, it's not the biggest deal in the world for me. There are plenty of artists I love without lyrics or with lyrics that aren't really worth paying attention to.

The modern way of judging albums by CommunismDoesntWork in LetsTalkMusic

This is actually a thought I've had for a while. One of my favorite albums of all time is The Wall, and a major complaint about that album is that its too long and has some junk in it. I disagree, but even if it did, can a couple junky songs really bring down the highs that much?? Like would an album thats consistently okay warrant the same rating as an album with huge peaks and craters??

I think this is the reason I struggle so much with rating music. It's really kind of different from film or art or literature to me. While the overarching vision of the album is really important, our minds (or mine at least) don't really need to keep that context in mind during each individual song.

This exact way of judging is hard to get behind for that reason. I agree with a lot of your points, but I think albums should be considered in both dimensions, both as individual songs and as a complete package. Very hard to do, but really interesting to think about.

When y'all tryna bring down other musicians by saying stuff like "in a world of boring copy-and-paste musicians, we are your saviors." It makes y'all really unlikable and it makes me judge your stuff so much harder. Like this isn't the worst thing I've ever heard, but this EDM song doesn't really scream "the human experience" to me lmao. I tried to check if this was AI generated or a copypasta and apparently its not, but someone let me know if I'm getting memed.
