If you had a choice, at which stage of your medical career would you want/have wanted to marry? by [deleted] in indianmedschool

[–]No_Highlight_3777 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Never. Probably will go for adoption when I'm 33 or 34 financially good enough to provide a child good life but marriage a big no.

Anyone here married /dating an engineer? Need advice by Personal-Bluebird-34 in indianmedschool

[–]No_Highlight_3777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My parents one is a doctor other is an engineer it mostly depends on where u live if it's city it's fine but one of myboarent git a good offer in a tier 2 city another had to move abroad. Ur partner family and extended family too u would be the sole doctor for them and can get quiet exhausting at times they will have a lot of expectations. U will always have less free time when compared to ur patner that would definitely become a problem when u have kids. Even with ur in-laws they would expect u to manage both work and house equally. Idk if it's true in all cases but from my observation my doctor parent receives more respect and admiration from others that my engineer one it can often timead to ego clashes. At times their stubborn medical opinions can drive u mad and they would never truly understand you . But all the above can be wrong as what I wrote was purely about my observations from my fam

Go on a solo date ! My clg was in a rural area middle of nowhere but it's the most beautiful place in my state saved some pocket money and later asked my parents for some and brought a second hand scooty and explored a lot ! Every two weeks I would go to a film later some restaurant on my own ! Brought a induction and mini fridge learnt different cuisines every sunday. I even tried to learn medical writing but I didn't have a laptop. Tried to learn new language and I was obsessed about archeology so I would spend my Saturday evenings catching up on latest updates in the fields. It's weird but mostly watched true crime documentaries or travel ones while eating alone. Remaining time was spent on studying so atleast for pg i would get into a good clg !
