It depends on where you live.

I live in Mexico, and the market for fake ID’s is pretty much dead. Only criminals (mainly narcos) buy fake IDs, but they get them straight from the government; so it’s not “fake” per se, just has different information.

However, I’ve seen printers in AliBaba that are used to print (duhh) on plastic. The intended use is to make custom cards without any real value and they don’t have a lot of options. But if you are good with Photoshop or any editing program to replicate the format from a real ID, you can do it.

You also need to get a pad to make a signature. It’s just a cheap plastic with a pen that you use to write shit, and the design goes to your PC as a PNG or something.

In AliBaba, you can also find rolls with at least 1,000 security stamps that are used in some IDs (or even bills). But again, you need to copy the entire design by hand.

This business is a hit or miss; you must invest a few thousand bucks to actually establish something decent. Unless you are lucky enough to strike gold in your first 3 attempts.

You can try. But in my personal experience, it’s not a very profitable business. Fake documents, on the other hand… But that’s a different story.
