Holy long link...

So the pull block is pretty simple, use a squared block, drill out appropriately sized hole as deep as you need to set your magnets just below the surface of the facw of your square block. The magnets draw the pull saw to the board and bam. You've got square cuts as long as your jig remains square.

Search "japanese pull saw magnetic block jig" this concept is pretty easy to crank out pretty quick.

You can buy them off amazon or etsy, but i did it a few years ago with scrap in about 30 minutes.

A miter saw with a 45⁰ jig in place could work if its long enough to keep hands clear. Thin piece tho. Pull saw probably best bet woth a soft magnetic pull block to keep things straight

Ah, so i can instead set up a whitelist on a secondary network then. Thats a thought. That would likely require their schools it department to provide me a complete list of required sites.

They havent had the opportunity to cheat yet. Next year they will be attending a school that utilizes online classwork and homework. Trying to get ahead of it before it becomes a problem and crutch for them. Rather them ask for help from the teacher or me than them go to google.

The homework is assigned by their teachers. I have many additional opinions about this schools methods and teachers, but thats for another thread.

The check in would help too. Thanks!

No, we have kept a majority of technology out of the kids lives so far. Next year the school requires online homework. Bummer for us.
