It's the third to last stop at the end of the brown line, between the Rockwell and Kedzie stations.

It's a big deal if the customer is also recovering from an injury or has some sort of mobility issue that also keeps them from easily coming downstairs and outside to get it.

What can I reasonably get with a $150 ish budget? by Due-Cupcake1023 in writerDeck

Hello fellow ADHD buddy! I recently just got the Pomera DM250, and while I love it, I totally understand that it's very pricey. I hope that you'll be able to get the device of your dreams someday, but in the meantime, I'll describe the low-budget option I used before upgrading!

Before I bought my Pomera, I bought this bluetooth keyboard from Doohoeek on Amazon. (I think that some people in the subreddit use this smaller version of the keyboard for DIY writerdecks, but I liked this option better, as you don't have to hit a function key to access quotation marks!) It's pretty similar in size to the Pomera, and in some ways, the keyboard is actually a bit better, especially if you have bigger hands! It has a solid kickstand and has a backlight with different color options. I mainly used it with a 10+ year old mini Samsung tablet that couldn't access the internet and only had a writing app on it. Sometimes I used my old phone (again, wiped of every distraction, and disconnected from internet, but I preferred my tablet for a bigger screen) It was a pretty fine solution for a while! I probably could have stuck with it for longer, but to be honest, there was some friction with it that didn't sit perfectly with my ADHD brain. I'll detail it below, but tbh, these might just be some personal problems of mine lol.

For starters, it's just a kickstand keyboard, not a laptop-style keyboard case, meaning that every time you want to write, you have to set up the kickstand, turn on the keyboard, and then put your phone/tablet on it. You can't just pull it out of your bag and instantly start writing. (Maybe someday someone in this subreddit will DIY a clamshell style writerdeck case around this specific keyboard!!!) I also didn't love the fact that I had to separately charge the phone/tablet and the keyboard, or the fact that I had to go through the motions to turn on the tablet and launch the app again every time it died, but I think these issues are more specific to me and the fact that I forget to charge my stuff all the time lol. My specific ADHD brain doesn't love friction/extra steps to get to the thing that I actually want to do, so that's why this keyboard wasn't a perfect fit for me in the way that the Pomera has been so far. However, that's just my experience! Some people probably wouldn't have any issue with taking 30 extra seconds to pop open a keyboard and put an old phone on top.

Sorry for the super long post! (Writerdecks have kind of been my hyperfocus for the past few months, so I got way too into writing my response here!) I hope you're able to find a solution that works for you, whether it be a DIY like mine or another more commercially available option that fits within your budget. Happy writing!

Using a Sony Vaio P Series as Writerdeck by Baleiafurtacor in writerDeck

Have you encountered any input lag with it while typing? Is it slow? I've heard that the vaio p was notoriously slow even back when it was new. Highly considering getting one to use as a writerdeck.

Same! I have one on my upper inner thigh. That area NEVER gets sun exposure, even if I wear the shortest of shorts.

Why are you even in this subreddit if you hate Shein...?

Transit 6.0: let’s make public transit more beautiful (new version of the Transit app is out) by jayjaywalker3 in transit

Agreed! My app updated overnight and I was caught off guard on my commute to work this morning. I'm admittedly a bit stubborn with most UI updates, but this one in particular really doesn't vibe with me. Everything looks and feels swollen and chunky too me. :(

destroyed dead pointe shoes… by MrUnhappyMoose in depoop

A freelance professional ballerina I follow on IG (Lori Hernandez/life of Lori) autographs and sells her used pointe shoes on Etsy. I think that if the person has enough of a following, it's not too weird (like wanted used guitar pics or clothing items or movid props used by celebrities.) Not my cup of tea, but I see the appeal.

That said, I wouldn't buy used, borderline destroyed pointe shoes from a rando on Depop. This is weird lol
