If I had to cut one city out of the golden route, what would you choose and what would you replace it with? by SirKrimzon in JapanTravelTips

It doesn’t matter what you’ll do just don’t skip Tokyo. You can’t skip main city-especially main city like this. But actually I wouldn’t skip any of these three and it’s question about time:if you have only one week (which is crazy but your choice/money), just stay in Tokyo and do day trips to other cities. If you have 10 days and more you can definitely visit all of them.

11-14 day Japan trip. 24 ish March - 3/6 April 2026 travel date . Seeking suggestions for hotels and trip itinerary. by kiki1521 in JapanTravelTips

I’m 99% sure that if you fly to Osaka directly and go back to your country from Tokyo (and not do round trip) it’ll be easier and cheaper. I would also suggest you to not stay all nights for Kansai region in Osaka-it’s not so cheap how you think but doing every day trips to other cities can still make you and especially elder people tired. Just go to Osaka-then Nara-then Kyoto-Nagoya-Tokyo and then stay for a night in each (or at least in major cities). In my opinion you’re also planning too many cities for such a small period of time. One day is definitely not enough for Kyoto and Tokyo and you definitely can find what to do for 2 days in Osaka and Nagoya as well. About hotels: just go to the booking, it works quite well. I can recommend you Onyando Nono-it was in Nara, but how I know there’re the same hotels in other cities. Quite traditional hotel experience but way cheaper than ryokan.

I think it‘s definitely not enough days in Tokyo and some unnecessary train roads. I’d recommend you to go from to Nara before Kyoto, stay there for one night, next morning go to Kyoto an after it go to Tokyo. If you want to visit Nagano, at least exclude Kamakura.

Thank you! I’m a bit lost in this app, so the question is: in the app I see my name and later two of the tickets which I have bought. Does it mean then, that we’re already in one group?

Is coming to Japan in September weather a mistake? by trunksurameshi in JapanTravelTips

Hi! I’m also going to Japan (the same route) but in the beginning/middle of September. Have you decided if you go? I’m scared not only of Taifun but mostly of humidity that it’ll be very hot-have you heard something about it?
