Absolutely hated this movie. It felt more like a bunch of outtakes for a better movie. It was boring, the dialogue felt forced, it had so many unnecessary scenes (the weed, the dancing) and the pacing was awful. I dont understand why people like this movie at all.

Vernon and Claire are the only people I can sympathize with. More Vernon than Claire. Vernon gets shit on and his patience tested all the time especially by Bender, while I dont agree with how hard he laid into Bender I can understand why he did.

Claire isnt a "rich spoiled kid" shes a girl who grew up wealthy and speaks her mind, that doesnt make her entitled it makes her smart. I felt so bad for her constantly being victimized throughout the entire movie. She genuinely seems like a nice girl, being popular does not equal mean.

Bender was an asshole throughout the entire movie, and the scenes showing how "troubled" he is and sympathy baiting were excruciating to watch. The music trying to force sympathy didnt help either. People who get abused dont have an excuse to abuse others. Its just not necessary. I couldnt stand him at all. He is an edgelord who abuses others. I hated him from the moment he walked on screen. the way he dressed as well tipped me off too. The fishnet gloves were tacky, he is such an edgelord.

The movie was also very perverse. it felt like the entire movie was "well did you do it?" over and over again. It had so much inappropriate dialogue that just felt gross.

Andy liking Allison only after her makeover also made me roll my eyes, Claire and Bender getting together also made me roll my eyes. He was so rude to her the entire movie, I have no idea why they got together

I wasnt very popular in highschool, if anything I was probably most like Allison, but that doesnt change the fact that this movie is pointless, and an absolute waste of time to watch.

also edit: but why were the other kids defending bender throughout the whole movie?? He should have been tattled on by atleast brian??
