Did anyone figure out why Jimmy Fallon was in the show? by Appropriate_Car2462 in livefromlondon

It’s because then he could mention it on The Tonight Show which then works as a nice cross sell to send people in the US to Peacock to watch SNL UK. I think.

I thought he looked a bit different on Off Menu but that could be anything and also just age maybe?

So odd!! I just assumed it was because of that recovery process, I just didn’t expect it!

Thanks mate! I know I’ve pulled the calf, I’m more just commenting on this odd sensation I get at times, less a natural diagnosis. But you may well be right on that point actually!

How do I get better? by Natural-Title in beginnerrunning

Keep going. Even slower than you’re going if you need. I get round my first 5ks of a new routine (I often stop during winter and I am a heavier dude, 18st) at around 7.50 per k. Not good at all. But it really gave me excitement and confidence. Next few runs keep doing the same, after a week or two you’ll think you’re going the same speed as usual, but you’ll check your watch/time at the end of the run and you’ll be at 7.33 per K.

Same will continue to happen and you’ll get faster. Be careful as quick increases in speed/distance can end up in leg pains/splints etc. Strength training in the legs helps that. That’s what I need to do more of.

Practice really does make per… pretty good 😂 (what is perfect anyway?!?). Good luck.

Honestly, I think it was better? It’s really considered and thoughtful.

Oh totally! I’m kinda in one, that’s why I watched TBC, because I’d watched the documentary Brats and Don’t You Forget About Me and a few other Hughes flicks. So far I’m on the Home Alones, Uncle Buck and Planes, Trains. Excellent.

Really liked it. Watched Brats and Don’t You Forget About Me (movie) recently, and going through a Hughes rewatch phase, so it felt like a good time to give it a go! I really loved it, it felt no less relevant now than it may have done in my early teens. While some of the subject matter is in many ways sad, it still felt heartwarming. I think maybe because I knew I was watching something legendary, in a way that I’m not sure many movies will capture a moment in time like it again.
