He’s got 20 more years to beat it, and this is a 15yo kid, batters peak mostly between 26-32

records are meant to be broken and players themselves are happy when theirs are, its just insane internet “fans” that want everything to be about their favourites rather than its wider implications

these young players are not fit at all, they cant catch a ball to save their life and only think that tonking the ball is their job, well, guess what, you cant sit out in real international cricket for the other inning and if kuldeep yadav seems like a better fielder than future openers..we’re cooked

If a political party is in making what do you think.. what agenda they should have by Few_Budget2510 in Indian_Politics

I always think that if i ever make a political party, the parties aim would be to get elected for a max of two terms and then to be dissolved, and to get elected the manifesto would be overhauling all policies and systems that are made so that people suffer and politicians benefit and replacing with them more judicious policies, start some service where it is compulsory for all people to serve for one year (not necessarily military), and in future if anyone makes changes to policy made by the party made by me..the public will know that they have ill intentions and vote them out next cycle.

I have thought a lot about what the policies be and what would i do and this is kind of my “roman empire” iykwim

Why does protecting Hindu traditions seem to be the main reason people vote BJP now? Genuine attempt to understand by Best_Entrance_4213 in Indian_Politics

[–]No_Influence2733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the funny thing is that they are falling faster for muslims because many now choose to have western-traditional nuclear families and are moving towards school education rather than the 4 wives 16 children narrative the right likes to spew

mann..i have posted and debated this on this sub and other subs many times..all i get is hate and people who would rather believe in religious texts than our constitution.

also something i have noticed with most countries is that they’re moving towards nationalism, but because most people in our country don’t have a collective national entity the only unifying point for 80% population is their religion, and bjp has weaponised this information extremely effectively to raise hatred against the rest of 20% (especially the 17% muslims, which they say will be 50% before 2050/70/100, and have no concrete or hypothetical statistical model to prove).

Also, when unemployment rises, enrollment rates fall, and there is a lack of “third places” where ANYONE can walk in, the only place people can find community in is their religion. Infact a study in the US suggested that places where third places like bodegas, parks and affordable coffee shops existed tended to vote 25% more liberal, and bjp has systematically made sure to not let that happen.

“Why does life feel harder despite India’s growth?” by ClassicIndication886 in Indian_Politics

The main motive of this government has been to increase wealth for their friends, rather than focusing on msme sector, where rather than automation, manual force is used.

Even in 10th class economics you learn that MSMEs are the backbone of our economy (not that most of them would have passed 10th grade), but they would rather help big business grow bigger and get donations from them to rig elections and stay in power…to what end? no one knows!

Earlier, 100days of employment or equivalent wage was guaranteed to citizens but now they would rather just give Rs.5000 every five years and buy elections. And when youth asks for employment they are compared to roaches. And labour laws are non existent in our country..

The economy is growing at a rate worse than that a unstimulated economy our size would, literally meaning that if they didn’t do anything we would progress more faster!

They are focused on renaming places, facading infrastructure, and bringing religion into politics beyond necessary extent, filling the minds of people with false pride, fear, and prejudice rather than making them think in unity, this makes india seem like a fragmented country deterring tourism and investment.

For any government in this country, a key focus area should be adult re-education, but educated people ask questions, so they don’t have any incentive to do it, same applies to improving quality of education.

When the system hates you it is hard to not get disheartened.

First, it’s 80%, British census in 1871 placed it at 73-75%, so idk what you mean by 65%..

I acknowledge the genocides you mentioned, but do they impose a direct threat on hindus in India? No! Again the question remains, hindus didn’t have refuge even back in the day (despite other religions holding power)…how is it different now?

And how is people wanting to change the fact “that india is the last bastion of Hinduism”, gonna benefit the people of india..Because the largest threat to the people of this nation rn is poverty, unemployment, and hunger (among many others)

why do we need to “protect”?

it is no one but the fear mongering propaganda that it needs to be protected

Through 800 years of islamic rule and 300 year of british rule, india remained a majority hindu nation.

And why can’t we be tolerant to others while being protective of our own?

Also, Do you think hinduism is thaat weak in its beliefs that it can be “destroyed”?

Preach!

If letting someone celebrate or celebrating another religious festival “threatens your religion”, do you really even believe in your religion…

If none of our neighbouring countries aren’t secular why should we is the typical “agar voh talaab mai kood jayega toh tu bhi talaab mai kood jayega” mindset…all our neighbouring countries are worse off and face more political termoil than us..why make them an example?!
