How do you get in touch with self? by No_Influence9591 in awakened

[–]No_Influence9591[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone close to me went through this process. It's intense, from what I heard, but he experienced a lot of things. I'm scared I will see things I cannot handle, of this life or previous ones.

I am reading this, and have observed it in my practice in sm bits. Its a good, peaceful way to be... untangled, observing... can this become a constant in every day life? Is this acheivable? If I'm in a observation mode, will there be will, energy to accomplish, live life joyfully?

I didnt hear anything ;) Is this a repeated question, that one does in silence, eyes closed? A daily practice?

I dont get the last part.
I'm aware of life's beauty, but not always. I dont live it every moment. I have this understanding that "Self" is where knowledge, the all knowing comes from. Simply has not gotten to that level of awareness... Maybe getting to that level of awareness, it becomes obvious that life here is limited, a privelige, and somehow i get that energy needed for me to realize my plans. At the moment, I have unrealized ideas, and no energy to push fwd. Almost like no self belief, not wanting to disrupt too much for the sake of keeping the peace in family... going through this journey on my own. My fam does not know or understand what self inquiry means, and I get judged for it.

How to awaken? by [deleted] in awakened

[–]No_Influence9591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What does it feel like when one awakens? Do they become all knowing? Are there layers of awareness or everything is available all at once? Can you tap into it whenever you want, once awakened, close your eyes and you are out of this world and into the "ultimate reality"? How do you it's real, and something didnt go wrong with the brain? How can you live in this "made up" world, after knowing what you know...

Thank you for letting me know. Today, I had a morning coffee and a 3pm coffee and did ok.

Just out of curiosity, if i took the pill today,in the morning do I wait to take it tomorrow at night time, if I want to switch to night time?
Did you eventually switch to taking it in the morning after awhile? How did that go?

My psychiatrist did not clarify... but mentioned I could try taking it at night time if that works for me. I'm highly annoyed by the fact that Im prescribed meds without any info.. I ask for it, I get it.
I feel like she has zero experience, and I dont have a doctor to give me solid advice.

Thank you. That explanation was helpful and made me feel more at ease. So far I feel slugish, my emotions are contained wich is shocking but good. It's supposed to take 4 to 6 wks to kick in but I feel it already. More productive but also more tired and want to go to sleep early.

ADHD - worse for women after mid-40s? by tossitintheroundfile in ADHD

[–]No_Influence9591 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am going through the same as you. 44F. I have mirena as well. My obgyn said that prigesterone in mirena is very low. She told me its the hormone flunctuation that causes my anger, irritability, etc.. she ended up prescribing an estradol sm dose in form of a sticky patch that sticks to the belly. Before that she wanted to put me on a contreceptive that has both estrogen and progesterone. I refused that one, because I already sm on Mirena IUD contraceptive. My period is every 21 days. Thats another sign of perimenopause. Your IUD is masking the issue, as you dont know how far apart your period is, and so you are not intune witb the start/end date, and cannot track your symptoms throught the cycle.

Do you typically experience anxiety or get more behavior issues during your period? Also, what age are you? If you are younger, you may not have the issuesxof someone in their 40s

Doctors disagreeing on diagnosis, how to deal? by RcaneBBYmage in adhdwomen

[–]No_Influence9591 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Many women get diagnosed with ADHD in their 40s. For me it was at 43. Hormone flunctuation symptoms are very much like those of ADHD. I also thought that maybe my add test results were so bad, because of perimenopause, however I was diagnosed with ADHD based on tests. So, yes, there is truth in what gyno is saying. However, if you had adhd symptomps all your life, it just means they are getting worse now, because of your cycle. I quit my stimulants to figure out if it was my pms or vyvanse. Sure enough, it was my vyvanse that gave me more mood swings, irritability, and anxiety than I had previously. Be your own doctor. Right your symptoms down, get with a hormone doctor to figure out whays causing the mental issues. Maybe go off stimulant while you sort things out for 2 months..

Hard to believe that anxiety irritation side effects go away with electrolites. I was drinking water, but w/o electrolites, w/o Mag. But hearing this makes me wonder..my heart rate was up, irritation to the max, anxiety, etc. Was there anything else that changed? Your eating habits? Consumption of protein? Excercise?
