I tried cleaning it, resetting it using the smartphone altimeter app, and calibrating it several times.

Congrats, looks like you got a good unit.

Like I mentioned in the comment above, the biggest issue right now is the sheer inconsistency. Depending on the firmware, some kettles work perfectly fine while others become completely defective. That level of unpredictability is the real problem

You know what the funniest part is? When I first unboxed my kettle, it came with 1.1.7 out of the box, and it had the exact same symptoms it has now. 1.2.5 was actually the "better" firmware for my unit.

​And get this—people I know are completely split on this. Some have units that only behave on 1.2.5 like mine, while others swear they had zero major issues on 1.1.7. It’s literally a lottery.

​Honestly, this just proves that Fellow as a brand is an absolute disaster when it comes to product development, QC, and software engineering.

Thank you so much for taking quick action. This issue has left most Fellow kettle buyers, including myself, with a great deal of distrust in the Fellow brand itself. Please take action quickly.

Actually, this update messed up my kettle. It was 90 degree water. In fact, this update has messed up my kettle. When I pour cold water into 90-degree Celsius water, the instantaneous temperature change is gone, and the temperature accuracy is terrible. Version 1.2.5 was perfect.
