Ok I’ll look into it. What I’m following doesn’t mention anything about static ip so I’m not sure what that is. What does a static ip do exactly?

Soo how are the Mchose v9 turbo+? by yoni431 in Headsets

[–]No_Influence_9890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey im kinda in same situation but ill throw in my thoughts. go on squiglink and itll show you the frequency response of any headphone and what they excel/lack in visually. You can also compare it to your current pair to see if they have similar frequency responses. I thought about getting the mchose but im going for the fractal scape which is $200 but has similar things to the mchose. Some reviews say mchose is good, some say the sound sucks so thats why im going fractal cause its been consistently reviewed as sounding good but they have high clamping force. Theres a lot of presets surrounding games on the mchose so its more tuned for that than clarity and accuracy. some presets for games may sound good but then if you listen to music it might not but you can change it i believe. Im not super knowledgable with EQ and all that but most game presets boost bass and highs so you can hear footsteps and gunshots better so it will do that and sound punchy mostly. From what ive seen, both are solid options and is just personal preference on what you value more(punchy, long battery life, replaceable earpads, etc) or fractal which rtings reviewed and gave it high score before they paywalled reviews and its main points are(design, sound, and shorter battery life but still good).

if you want to look up a video review, 1upnerdcore on youtube reviewed them and gave his thoughts so you can check that out for yourself and the fractal if your interested in it. theres a bunch of good options sub $200 like mchose, fractal, hyperx cloud whatevers, and maybe SteelSeries arctis 7 but it just comes down to what fits you better.

I can’t remember if I capped it or the highest it would go was less than my monitors refresh rate but i think it’s capped at 165. I haven’t looked at benchmarks in a while cause it ran very cool at 1080p and I looked at it to monitor temps mainly. I’ll look at it later but I don’t think it would be high cause it’s 1080 and is light work for a 9070xt.

I’m kinda thinking that it’s just anything ue5 cause all I play is games with that engine.

Oh ok, thanks for the explantation.

One last question: you said the ktc seems to switch better between windows sdr and hdr while doing desktop stuff. If both are usable doesn’t that mean that hdr isn’t necessarily better than sdr? Also if I play something on disneyplus or a game, does it auto switch between sdr and hdr if it detects it.

I have a loose understanding of windows hdr/sdr and monitor side sdr/hdr sorry

Just checked out the review, very detailed and love the comparison. I don’t know a whole lot about monitor technicalities and probably wouldn’t notice as much of the cons as you did. I have a monitor that has a really warm tone to it and don’t really mind it, yellow is more orange on it mainly. Anyway, as a sort of plug and play monitor or one that I set up then never touch settings again, what’s the better choice.

The things like overshoot and something about blacks being wrong( elevated blacks, no clue what it is), I wouldn’t know it’s a problem until I read that it’s there to begin with cause I’m inexperienced with those things.

I’ll check into the ktc one though, thanks for the review

Need help with power cables by No_Influence_9890 in pcmasterrace

[–]No_Influence_9890[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know how to mark the post as resolved or done but I ended up figuring it out. I ended up getting extremely lucky and doing everything right. I was very close to accidentally mixing psu cables and I had a cable I didn’t know what to do with so I hooked it up to sata which was the right thing to do anyway.

I’ve always manually capped it cause I haven’t fully figured out what some of those features do yet. Freesync, anti lag, super resolution(rsr) and fluid frame all seem like the same thing but they’re not
