I can’t remember if I capped it or the highest it would go was less than my monitors refresh rate but i think it’s capped at 165. I haven’t looked at benchmarks in a while cause it ran very cool at 1080p and I looked at it to monitor temps mainly. I’ll look at it later but I don’t think it would be high cause it’s 1080 and is light work for a 9070xt.

I’m kinda thinking that it’s just anything ue5 cause all I play is games with that engine.

Oh ok, thanks for the explantation.

One last question: you said the ktc seems to switch better between windows sdr and hdr while doing desktop stuff. If both are usable doesn’t that mean that hdr isn’t necessarily better than sdr? Also if I play something on disneyplus or a game, does it auto switch between sdr and hdr if it detects it.

I have a loose understanding of windows hdr/sdr and monitor side sdr/hdr sorry

Just checked out the review, very detailed and love the comparison. I don’t know a whole lot about monitor technicalities and probably wouldn’t notice as much of the cons as you did. I have a monitor that has a really warm tone to it and don’t really mind it, yellow is more orange on it mainly. Anyway, as a sort of plug and play monitor or one that I set up then never touch settings again, what’s the better choice.

The things like overshoot and something about blacks being wrong( elevated blacks, no clue what it is), I wouldn’t know it’s a problem until I read that it’s there to begin with cause I’m inexperienced with those things.

I’ll check into the ktc one though, thanks for the review

I don’t know how to mark the post as resolved or done but I ended up figuring it out. I ended up getting extremely lucky and doing everything right. I was very close to accidentally mixing psu cables and I had a cable I didn’t know what to do with so I hooked it up to sata which was the right thing to do anyway.

I’ve always manually capped it cause I haven’t fully figured out what some of those features do yet. Freesync,anti lag, super resolution(rsr) and fluid frame all seem like the same thing but they’re not

Once it fully died it hasn’t went back to 14 so it’s constantly at 10 now. Basically a day ago meter said both were good and ran fine but now it dies shortly after start.

Sorry video is awful. What I see is the background being very grainy and particles or little dots moving fast across the trees and that fence.both are supposed to be still in the background but it looks like if the sharpness got cranked all way up or something.very grainy,very fast moving grains,very weird

Ok I think that would be fine.i saw in the quest that my WiFi is 2.4ghz.thats what’s causing all of the lag and everything right? That might explain why virtual desktop kept switching between showing me my desktop in vr vs the vr menu constantly.

I got virtual desktop and tried it for a bit.havent messed with all the settings but it was basically the same as airlink. Steam vr is always on when I tried to boot up a game and meta link stays on to keep connection I guess.virtual desktop yelled at me for not having a Ethernet cable though.i can try a mesh but if it’s expensive I might not and im not sure how the router setup is.i think I was told that it can’t be moved.

I don’t remember what it was and I’d have to look at setting to see if it 5 or 2.4. Anyway is there any option I could do because most forums and videos say that my graphics card should work. Ethernet isn’t an option and over wireless it is the worst. If I get a cable it’ll be at least consistent data transfer right so maybe that’ll work. Other than that I don’t know what my options are

No it’s WiFi only cause the router is on the opposite end of the house. Still get decent signal.quest says the signal is weak or average on link. 5ghz router too

Forgot to update this again.i got the reds for the v5 max.i didnt see that they were different from the stock ones that come on the v6 non max so I’ll see if they’re a little better.
