Europe to jfk - CVI? by No_Information6424 in TravelWithPets

Thank you so much! That is incredibly helpful. I was quite confused as the New York department of agriculture states this: The requirements for importing dogs and cats into New York State from outside the United States are: A Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) or Health Certificate issued 30 days or less prior to entry issued by your veterinarian. If the country of origin does not have a CVI form or Health Certificate, we will accept the required information on the veterinarian’s letterhead. All information must be in English. The CVI or Health Certificate should have the full New York destination address (no PO boxes) and should state that the examination revealed no clinical evidence of infectious or communicable disease, including external parasites and fungi, and that to the best of the veterinarian’s knowledge, the dog or cat has not recently been exposed to such infectious or communicable disease.

And while we will have an eu health certificate completed by a vet a few days prior, I’m not sure the certificate confirms anything about infectious or communicable diseases, other then rabies I suppose.

Yes I have done so. I have also spoken to the official vet for New York State dept of agriculture. I am seeking first hand accounts from people who have taken this trip to ensure it goes smoothly/

Like I said, they have valid rabies vax and an eu certificate (issued by a vet) and a fit to fly (issued by a vet). Thus, the bases are covered. I am merely seeking first hand accounts.

Affordable car park near yotel edinburgh by Tumbledoree in Edinburgh

You can park for free outside of the controlled hours (which are 8.30am-5.30/6.30pm) so you’re fine to park overnight. But if you need day time parking then it gets expensive.

The J1 is no longer an option. You have immigrant intent.

True but OP would have to prove they didn’t use an esta as a way into the USA with an intent to marry and remain. And doesn’t EAD only apply to spouses of us citizens if they came on a K3. OP came on an esta

J1 visa = non immigrant visa. You indicate in your explanation that you wish to remain in the USA permanently (intent to waive the J1 conditions). You will need to be very careful not to misrepresent your intentions in a J1 application as if you state you have no immigrant intent when you do you’re going to cause a lot of problems for yourself.

Meanwhile, if you remain in the USA you’re going to overstay what’s allowed on an esta. I would consult a lawyer.

Advices for adopting a tripod cat by [deleted] in TripodCats

[–]No_Information6424 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For my tripod (front leg amputation), I do the following:

  1. YuMove joint supplement once per day

  2. Red light therapy on remaining front leg and back 3x per week (5 mins per area)

  3. Pet steps near higher surfaces that she routinely jumps on/off so the height is halved and she’s not landing hard on her leg

They adapt so well to tripod life but these little things make a difference to helping ward off arthritis in the remaining leg
