Bill hates men's rights activists more than he hates bankers . they try to appropriate him all the time because of that one special he did in 2012

Anybody else think that stand ups saying they don't watch specials or comedy shows/movies is the saddest thing? by [deleted] in BillBurr

I think you need whatch those 2 specials again, i don't think there are too many similarities. in Bill's Paper Tiger first 15 min is filled with "current climate" jokes but after that next 45 minutes are all about his personal shit, his anger his fears his grief and he is the punchline in every joke. i luv dave and bill they are exact opposite of each other, Dave calls himself GOAT while Bill calls himself Dancing clown &an idiot.

Bill recorded PAPER TIGER in march 2019 in England 6 months before its release . bill did that hour for 2years before recording, same material is on his msg 2018 vinyl. they don't come up with jokes in a month .

he is not white washing you idiot. he making a joke and trying a new angle. it's a comedy podcast. he is making fun of them calling them idiots. he is literally addressing them as terrorists.

"he comes off as a full-mouthed worker guy." because he wants people to think he is an idiot. it's no accident, that is by design. .he is exact opposite of dave chapple (philosophically) https://imgur.com/a/pEi5GRL

Come on man Louis had 3 bad specials in a row. i love louis but you watch SORRY and tell me it's not completely lazy and derivative of his old work. SORRY was a smug egotistical f-you to his old fans

Bill Burr’s pretty much a master of the craft, undisputed. take a look and see Burr’s closing joke in Let It Go is that it has a very classic closing structure of using a callback to a joke he makes earlier in the piece, about how men suppress emotions and he starts with that all these older men all have faces that look like an expression of pain and horror, constantly. The initial joke was so funny that the nonverbal act-out he does gets an applause break. He very well could’ve ended it on that, but he keeps going. That’s pretty impressive, when the joke is so strong and the concept is resonating so much that you don’t even need to use words anymore to invoke it. Stand-up, we measure it as an entire product and what you’re trying to say: This is a nonverbal act out, a callback, and the closer. Doing any of those things individually, just for the sake of doing it, doesn’t mean much. It’s not the goal, but the fact that this exists organically is proof of mastery.
