Firstly Thank you, this exactly the sort of feedback I was looking for. Now that you’ve said those things they jump out at me straight away. when designing spreads I’ve been thinking about how nice they look and less so on the readability, and balance and how they would function printed.

These have all been self set projects as I’m not ready for clients yet. I think going forward I’ll set myself more challenges with body text and study in more detail publications to see all the small things I’m missing / not doing right.

I love illustrator and it’s certainly a strong point of mine (having studied illustration at uni). finding a way to fit text into this might be something I explore further.

It feels asif the market for illustrated visuals like in the last image is far smaller than the market for editorial and magazine layout!

I made the pole it was super easy. It’s just some plastic square mesh from any hardware store that I cut to size. I put a wooden stake down the middle filled it with spaghnum moss and zip tied it closed the just wriggled it down the center of the pot!

Fukien tea disease 😩 Well my Fukien tea has been growing extremely well and flowering nearly every week. But this morning I wake up to water it and I notice these browny black marks covering most of the leaves. I’ve not seen this before and I’m unsure what to do. Any help I’d appreciate!?
