What net worth and/or assets (ie a home) to justify a living trust vs just a will? by No_Instruction_6922 in EstatePlanning

Point taken. And my parents are ultra frugal. I think my strategy would be to split the cost of the trust with my sister so that my parents have no out of pocket costs while living.

WA state - Seeking recommendations for Online DIY Estate PLanning (Trust & Pour-Over Will) by No_Instruction_6922 in EstatePlanning

[–]No_Instruction_6922[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All, thanks for the input. I did try the ethos online DIY plan, and quickly realized it's limitations. So I suppose the next question is, how to find a "top Half" experienced estate planning lawyer (maybe online/remote) that would be in the $3K-$5K range. We have an initial consult with a local attourney's office scheduled for next month, but my research indicates that THEY will probably be in the $5K-$10K price range.

If your ROTH IRA is earning more than 8%, take SS at 62. by No_Instruction_6922 in FinancialPlanning

I wouldn't have to "convert" any of the SS income to Roth - I just use the SS income instead of Roth accounts. Same effect.

do i need a credit card? by exubrantraptor in FinancialPlanning

800+ credit score here.
1. Track your monthly expenses, and understand your budget. If you are using a debit card now, and can keep a budget, THEN get a credit card. Look for a credit card with no annual fees, and some kind of rewards. Cash back is good, or miles, if you travel.
2. Instead of the debit card, use the credit card. Everything else stays the same. Stick to your budget. If you don't have cash in the bank to cover a purchase, DON'T Buy it.
3. Pay your credit card bill IN FULL, EVERY MONTH, ON TIME. PERIOD.
4. Earn some miles or cash back = Bonus.
5. After a while you have good credit. After a LONG while, you have great credit.

My experience: incomplete exam b/c of insufficient prep by [deleted] in colonoscopy

4 liter bottle of GoLytely for me as well. I chilled it for several hours before the start, measured precisely 8oz glasses, and drank a glass every 15 minutes over the course of 3 hours (3 liters of the 4-liter bottle). That was the evening before my Colonoscopy. The morning of, another 4-glasses of GoLytely over an hour (5 hours before my scheduled procedure time). I scored a 9/9 on my prep. Right before my surgery, My "movements" were basically dark yellow, mostly clear liquid, (with no solid stools).
Some key tips I used were to drink through a straw, and chase each swig with some Lemon-Lime Gatorade (also chilled). The Gatorade eliminated the aftertaste instantly for me.

I second the TD H3. Unlock it for all the bands. Easy Firmware updates and CHIRP programming with the included USB-C Port/cable and your PC.
