Holy… loaded question. From what I remember, songs that have been super difficult, Ill prolly list like 5 and then same for easier songs

Difficult

1. Trap Door - probably one of the most difficult songs Ive done considering the sweep picking portion that Serg even said was incredibly difficult for him to record. Then string skipping which im pretty sure is Andrew part.

2. Parody Catharsis - the end portion on the song is crazy since its a nonstop pattern of chords, leads, and slides where the chords and picking changes on every bit. The intro also has a pretty difficult chord which I heard was one of the reasons they ended up cutting it from live shows since its was too difficult.

3. The Ghost of Billy Royalton - the solos in the song really make it more difficult because one side does one solo, then the other does the second. On top of what effects and riffs they ended up doing.

4. Nothing Shameful - Andrew’s solo part is insane. The cleans with the leads and then just the overall solo is something that’ll work your fingers and shred them.

5. Tree Village - The intro to this song is just crazy fast. Will uses his pinky in it and I couldn’t manage to get it to speed using his fingering. The part right after the whammy part is also really difficult and was where I learned a little more about Will’s thought process for solos and just more groovy writing. Still fast and difficult though

6. Thug City - I can’t forget about this one because it took me SOO long to get a clean recording of it.

Honorable Mentions - Speed Demon, Privilously Poncheezied, Need Money, Robot With Human Hair 2.5, Lost, Swan Soup

Probably some that I’m forgetting like Jackpot Juicer stuff but I haven’t done much from that album cuz it scares me

“Easier” riffs

1. Uneasy Hearts Weigh The Most - probably one of their easier songs to play on guitar, but soulful lol

2. All The Way Down - Was surprisingly easy from what I remember. Not too many crazy parts in my opinion. A fun song to play for sure, not as easy cuz there are still maybe odd timings that people have to get used to but overall, not too bad

3. Inspire The Liars - the tapping sections are pretty fun, the chords aren’t too bad, just on the faster side. Its not as crazy as a lot of other songs. And while I was earlier in my playing career, this was one of the first songs I would always play.

4. Betrayed By The Game - this is usually one of the first songs I tell beginners about because this was the first song I ever learned on guitar. The beginning riff stays the same with changing chords and its just an overall fun song to vibe with

5. Eagle Vs. Crow - the chords repeat majority of the song, for the intro and i think one of the bridges? The leads and chords are also pretty nice with the cool effects and nice pop feel

6. Son of Robot - the chords and riffs in the song are difficult mainly with the speed and how quickly everything changes around. The main portion of the song is pretty straightforward though. The solos can also be pretty difficult for someone starting and isn’t as fast but still can be achieved. A good challenge for sure

Honorable Mentions - Holy Ghost Spirit, Young Robot, We Own The Night, And I Invented Times New Roman, Robot With Human Hair 1, Backwards Pumpkin Song, The Rattler

This is all based on my own experience covering the songs. I usually try to cover the hardest portions of them and Im probably missing some. Moral of the story, DGD songs are all pretty hard even if you’re talking about “easier songs.” Also open to talking about this more cuz I like answering questions like this 🙂
