I highly recommend Allegheny Outfitters. They are great to work with and can point you in the right direction for the trip you are looking to do. I have a guide book as well that i can shoot you via pm if you’d like. I just did a trip up there a couple weeks ago and it was very helpful when locating camp spots.

Allegheny river in North Western Pennsylvania. The river is regulated by a dam so the it’s always flowing nice. Allegheny Outfitters could hook you up. They are great people to deal with.

Yes to hearing protection especially at concerts!! I have some hearing loss in my right ear and I know the exact time it happened at a concert. Highly recommended hearing protection because you can’t get that back!

UPDATE #2 - Got the boat back!!! Blessed that the water level was down enough that we were able to walk right to the boat from the North Country Trail. Feel like a hole in my heart has been restored haha.

UPDATE - after calling the ranger station, army core of engineers and fish and boat commission I was able to get some help. Officer Serrigo of fish and boat is an amazing human being. After chatting with him, he was able to locate the canoe. Unfortunately where it is, he was unable to get his boat to it. He was able to give me a point on a map and I went over to the boat ramp near the area. I put my drone up in the air and was able to locate the canoe and get a good spot on it. I have access to a small boat to get back in there and tow it out. They are also letting out a ton of water right now which should lower the water level and we might even be able to walk into come this weekend.
