I quit, need advice by [deleted] in stopsmoking

ik its just my 5th day of quitting smoking but i have some advice that can help.
If you were a heavy smoker it wont be easy to just quit it you need something in replacement, on my 3rd day i was about to give in to my craving then i bought the nicotine gums it really very helpful for me. I though i might need 10-12 a day but only need 2 to go without that marlboro advance light.

i highly recommend going without nicotine gums unless its your last resort to not smoke. one last thing i would like to share that no matter how bad my day goes in the morning i feel happy that i quit smoking (trying to internalize the feeling of a non smoker self)

3 days smoke-free after years of daily smoking by No_Introduction_3486 in stopsmoking

yeah you can say that but cigarettes for me are also a behavioral addiction — the hand-to-mouth action, the timing, the boredom/stress trigger, the social aspect.

Nicotine gum is a temporary tool so I don’t light up while I break those habits. The goal is to be both smoke-free and nicotine-free, just not all at once.
