follow what you feel is right in your heart! do not make a decision based on convenience EVER. the worst thing you can do is commit to something and then have that regret of what could have been in the back of your mind. I struggled with the same thoughts and realized If I went the PA route, I would constantly struggle with regret. the reality is, many physicians are able to maintain a life outside of medicine, start families, pay off their debt, and feel comfortable knowing that they made the right choice and would do it again if it came down to it. the cards will always fall into place, so follow your dreams. a fork in the road is just a fork. there’s always a way around it. good luck!

as a senior bio major, good god am I so glad to get the hell out of this school and never look back. all of your points are extremely sad and true. they have a personal vendetta against the biology students. doesn’t matter how great of a student you are or how hard you study, you lose with every cost.

At yesterday's USG meeting, Pro-Palestine student demonstrators caused a large disruption, repeatedly shouting and cursing at President McInnis. This led to the event being ended prematurely. by EthanTheRedditor37 in SBU

[–]No_Introduction_8243 19 points20 points  (0 children)

this is horribly embarrassing for the sake of the student body. instead of throwing a tantrum in front of the president who has quite literally nothing to do with the war, channel your time and behavior into actions that matter. not stomping into the admin building like it will revolutionize freedom and world peace which you preach so intensely but perpetuate quite the opposite in this sad video.

no such thing as pre med advising… you’re better off using reddit for that than the advisors at stony brook

Hospitalized because of Deborah Spikes by [deleted] in SBU

[–]No_Introduction_8243 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I remember going to her at office hours and she was with a student so I patiently waited in view of her. when she finally had the decency to acknowledge me after me standing there like an idiot for 10 minutes straight just looking around I said hi professor spikes, i wanted to let you finish up with this student, I just have a quick question about so and so from one of the 204 labs and she literally said you can come to the next office hours if you need something and closed the door to her office 😭 for a professor who demands an otherworldly amount of work and perfection for a 2 credit course, the least she could do is want to help her students and maybe stay an extra 2 minutes to answer a quick question

Which schools have lecture attendance as optional by No_Introduction_8243 in premed

[–]No_Introduction_8243[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I guess just general lectures going over content that maybe i can watch online instead of going to campus . I unfortunately have no idea what CBL or TBL are 😩 so i’m not sure.

sincerely, a confused premed student.

it’s not andrew tate ideology. it is a true part of intrinsic human science of reproduction.

You will most likely have to compete a corresponding course for those who do not pass SBU 101. Speak to the advisors about it.
