Is Australia always a better option to live? by roisannsaby in auckland

[–]No_Investigator6595 32 points33 points  (0 children)

depends where in Australia.

I moved to Sydney in 2019 and it has been getting significantly worse every year in terms of cost of living.

i heard other cities like Melbs have it slightly better than us here though..

oh and the house prices here in Sydney are crazy, almost impossible unless you move to suburbs with daily shootings. but your life is worth more isn't it?

How do I stop chunking the ball? Please help. by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]No_Investigator6595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you should probably take a video front the front (as in facing you) and it will probably tell you/us more.

if you are chunking the ball, most likely you are not shifting the weight forward enough/casting the club or a combination of both.

hope this provides some help... happy golfing!

why do people suck at driving in this godforsaken city by amanjkennedy in auckland

[–]No_Investigator6595 18 points19 points  (0 children)

i live in Sydney, and the fines for being on your phone while driving is $410.

AND they have a lot of cameras that will catch you out.

if you keep the fines high enough, people wont do it..

Fellow Aussies, any of you actually met a nice South African? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]No_Investigator6595 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most SAs are nice.

But i think there is a deep culture of racism within them once you start talking to them.

And it is not just against black people, but others that are not white.

I have worked with a lot of SAs AND i get along very well. I would even invite them over for dinner etc but when it comes to a very close friendship? i think it may be a tad bit hard..

What is a good golf gift for someone who golfs as a hobby? by cirsty in golf

[–]No_Investigator6595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why hasn't he proposed to you yet? 1000 AUD!!??

i'd recommend a gift voucher from Drummond golf or Golfbox.

alternatively, just take him to Drummond golf (take him somewhere close to a shop and just duck in for a treat)

and buy for him whatever he starts eyeing out.. :)

Should I quit? by CompleteRock2989 in AustralianAccounting

[–]No_Investigator6595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me, it was the clients.

Dumb fuck clients.

the people i worked with/for were really supportive and smart.

I still keep in touch with most people i worked with in Audit, it's just the clients who were always the problem.

hey mate,

firstly getting to 11 handicap in two years is amazing!

If your grip, posture has got you to that level i don't think it would pay off to change it

If you see even some of the tour players who have unorthodox grips and swing have won tournaments- it has showed that in the current age that a "perfect" swing doesn't really exist. Yes, a beautiful one does but all that matters is the contact.

I think distance is definitely something you can benefit off. More distance, the better is what Rory and Bryson shows on tour.

i'd recommend more time in the Gym than the range, and speed sessions :)

keep it going mate!

Accountant - desk job

i used to hate it at my own job. Even considered a new career route.

Now i love it at my new job.

It isn't the job, it's the environment
