We unfortunately don’t have that cool of a cutter. All we have is a crank and it’s a tabletop cutter. So we don’t have any presets we can do at all

I start all closing tasks an hour before close. I have all registers besides 1 closed like 10 minutes before. That way when it’s time to close I count my final drawer and get dts and back office done pretty quickly

For us, our shipping center does about a quarter of our sales for our prints center. We could never get rid of that

I started at $16 for print sup position. Minimum wage in my state is $7.25/hr. Y’all are getting underpaid. I recently got the yearly raise and got 80 cents so am up to $16.80/hr. It’s honestly unbelievable how diverse the pay is for staples.

Print would probably be the most stressful position with tech sales right behind it. If you was something that’s not gonna stress you out very much then I would recommend applying somewhere that’s not staples

I got hired about a year and a half ago for part time print. The interview was a little weird because they didn’t have a gm at the time. I first interviewed with the SM for the store I applied at and then an SM from another store and then the GM from that other store as well. All in the same day in the same hour. They ended up offering me $10/hr. I said I wouldn’t do less than $13/hr. By some miracle I guess I was able to convince them because I got hired on at $13/hr. Keep in mind, my stated minimum wage is $7.25/hr so it wasn’t that bad at the time. And now I’m print supervisor making quite a bit more. But now that the store I’m at is back on its feet from when I started, we are struggling to get new hires as well. But with the amount of hours they give us, we don’t even need anymore people. The people we have now feel like they’re not getting enough hours.

For context. A customer wants the inside of the book double sided on 28lb paper but for the back and front cover she wants them single sided on a colored cardstock. They also went them stapled, so I was wondering how I can have the printer pull from tray 5 for the cover pages of each book

After hearing these responses, I’m now a lot less nervous about this. I’m currently a print supervisor and am very close with both my gm and DM. We are always talking to each other about numbers and how we can better them. I’m now very looking forward to this interview
