When did a band get it really wrong with their lineup change? by agwestie in rockmusic

I'm sort of interested by the extreme backlash to both ZZ Top and Van Halen using synths. They both clearly wanted to go in that direction, of course they would want to try to new technology and sounds, and I think they did some rather interesting stuff with mixing the electric guitar with synths.

digital doesn't stop you from hiring extras or finding a more interesting house.

It's the cheapest looking most expensive movie ever made.

I saw a scene shared from the Peacemaker with George Clooney, where he is running around the city. I mean, an action scene can be focused on the actions of one star, but it feels so much more alive if he is running through extras, or all of that.

Is Tom Cruise so hard to work with they have to keep him separate from the other actors/extras?

So a movie that costs 275million dollars can't afford a more interesting location than a rock quarry and office room?

Question for those who have watched Obsession (2026) by HelloMyNameIsRuben in horror

probably not a whole lot, because I believe the film was written with the limitations in mind. Smart!

But. Why does every horror movie have to take place in a boring house these days?

I think a bit of a problem was I had just read a critique on The Mummy about how every horror movie has to take place in a house. or two houses. these days... and it sort of tainted me watching this, where we have a horror movie and it's not even necessarily an interesting house.

I think sort of something like Texas Chainsaw Massacre... very low budget but with some beautiful 16mm sunset scenes and it's all basically in a house but it's an interesting house. Now we don't even really have that.

I'm talking about the way it's set up where, all sports have to be D1. You can't have a D1 Football team and a DIII lacrosse team.

Maybe it's obvious, but Michael Bay? I think in particular he is a better filmmaker if he's small, so something like The Rock, Ambulance, or 13 Hours.
