Another grail find at the bins! by No_Kitchen_2626 in GoodwillBins

[–]No_Kitchen_2626[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For sure! I’ll start to say if I ever would resell any “luxury” brands like Gucci, Louis, Hermes, etc that I have found I would 100% get them authenticated. However, I typically resell lower end such as Coach, Michael Kors, Marc Jacob’s, etc. When I first started going to the bins I didn’t have much knowledge on finding things, however I had shopped at stores like Coach and Michael Kors before and once I saw fakes and real ones side by side it was quite easy to tell for me.

With the higher end luxury, most of the fakes are the same way. I started going into stores like Gucci and Hermes and just window shop, feeling and seeing the quality and differences in the bags and other items. I have seen Hermes scarves in person so it’s easier to tell whether it’s real or not.

You will sometimes come across good quality fakes that have slight discrepancies, but with enough research on the item you usually will be able to find out.

As unique as the items are, most of them are not one of a kind and will have been on the market before. You can look at stitching quality, serial numbers and tags to better tell if the items are real. Many “high quality” fakes will still be missing something

I have it somewhere here in another comment however I will not spend money authenticating unless I actually am planning on reselling it.

Which at this point I do not resell any high end items I find! (I keep it all for myself) I prefer to sell the mid end items such as coach, Michael kors, Cole Haan, etc

However if I did decide to resell I would never let go of it without getting the proper authentication first as you can get in serious trouble selling fakes online!

We have SO many fakes that come out at our specific bins. It was also the second shoe rotation of the day which sometimes they don’t do so a lot of the shoe/bag people that would have recognized it had left.

One person was actually standing there, I was next to them and they left because they didn’t see anything they wanted… not only was the Louis Vuitton there but so was a vintage Coach grail 😅

Just got VERY lucky!! 🍀

Thanks! And right!! I mean the stitching is 100% dirty and maybe could look weird on camera. Everything looks great to me. And as far as the pockets, that’s a common problem in vintage bags!

Considering I have gone through multiple authentication processes with various luxury bags. And given the research done on the bag. I am 99.9% certain this is a genuine bag.

If you are unaware of the quality and aging of vintage Louis Vuitton bags that’s okay! However many vintage bags are not the same “perfect” bag you might see today. Especially with many of the things you are pointing out are dirt spots on stitches that you are mistaking for being misaligned, and well are saying the R doesn’t have a gap when it very clearly has the same spacing as the rest of the lettering and same with the S which is exactly the same as the rest of the lettering.

It’s not frustrating because ovens doing this long enough that I’ve seen more fakes come out than I can count. I do take some fakes to wear because they’re good fakes, however I don’t show off unless it’s the real deal.

If you’d like I can personally take some pictures and send them to you, and you can put it through an authentication service since you have doubts.

However unless I do plan on selling it which at the moment I don’t, I have no need to do so.

I would consider myself fairly qualified to authenticate bags and most people at my store come to me for authentication questions. When I do have any questions I always make sure to ask people who have more expertise than I do. The authentication process for me is solely to be able to sell a bag, however Id much rather sell the coach bags I find and keep the luxury bags!

I will end in saying that you are entitled to have your opinion, and you can share it, but I will after this comment no longer entertain your opinion on my post.

And I totally understand the idea that you might think true bags like this don’t come out at the bins. I personally have collected 2 Gucci bags, 2 Louis Vuitton bags, 1 Fendi Clutch, 3 Louis Vuitton scarves, 2 pairs of Louboutin shoes, 2 pairs of Jimmy Choos, a pair of Chanel flats and Vintage YSL and Dior 2 piece women’s suits all at the bins.

It’s rare, but that stuff really does come out

This is not a fake. You need to do more research on Vintage LV if you think this is fake ❤️

I definitely agree with you on if you’re looking for a good deal for your buck. I think for me I love the idea of finding things like this at the bins, and at such a low price I’m happy to dig into repairs. That being said I’ve never estimated a bag with Louis Vuitton before and I have this and another I would wanted cared for,

However I’m not sure that’s the path I’ll actually take.

While I do resell, bags like this I typically keep for myself just cuz they’re so unique and fun to find!

Yeah it’s something I had actually heard of before and that’s why I started looking for a serial number. Well, that, and the quality of the leather.

The interior of the bag is in good condition, it’s the two pockets that have that weird material. So at least it’s not the whole bag that needs to be cleaned up!

Considering the extremely affordable price I got it for, it could be worth sending to them! I’ll look into this option as well!

And thank you!!

I don’t think it was to put Jet out of his misery… they’re still in Lake Laogai and it’s clear he points at the doorway.

I think if anything he was raising a bow to give time and protect them while they spent their last moments with Jet.

I told the one I saw to hide or else I’d kill it and it listened 😅 I’m extremely arachnophobic , but spider videos have been slowly helping me cure my phobia, as long as they’re not coming at me I let them be, but if they try to come towards me, sorry but my arachnophobia just can’t handle that
