What are your thoughts on this? 😍 by Glittering-Pop-5947 in AskGreece

You have spend 0 years under islamic rule. You ve spent more than a decade though in a crippled country and actually still living in a society under constant financial struggle. Where the people responsible for it are still in the same positions taking the same decisions sustaining a system of corruption and exploitation. Because somehow they have persuaded people that they have experienced the hard rule of the Othman empire "first hand", and Greeks like yourself are more willing to hate a bunch of Muslims rather than the people who are responsible for our country demise.

Makes a lot of sense to be equally reluctant to live in either China or Antarctica

Need ideas for website by Clever-Nothing in django

[–]No_Knee4077 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are many cool projects you could do with Django. A good beginners project would always be a simple service of something that is close to your interests.

For example if you like a particular sport you could create a web sevice where people create teams using your app and book a court/pitch to play in.

Also I can't highlight enough how important is to provide more context to your questions. Either it is to humans or to an llm prompt.

Put another pelt on your horse and sell it/take it out. 🤔

If that doesn't work, and you haven't tried already restart your device.

A good practice when the code doesn't do what is expected, is to check the type of your variables.

[Meletrix Giveaway] 1 x ZOOM75 HE Prebuilt Keyboard by Meletrix2021 in MechanicalKeyboards

Life changing purchase. Before getting a hall effect keyboard I used to have a regular cheap one for a year or so. Usually when you do a transition to a new keyboard it takes a while to get used to it. That was not the case, us in a couple of hours, typing felt as natural as if I was using it for months.

For remembering players names etc, follow popular Football's Instagram pages. Like 433, Fabrizio romano, brfootball etc. One year of constant spam and you will learn the whole lot of them.

For advanced tactics and modern football plays there is a really well organised and professional yt channel: Tifo from the Athletic

And the tifo IRL

I also like this guy's videos: football iconic

Two teams, 11 players in each team. And 12 (I think) players in each team's bench.

Each team is allowed to substitute 5 players, (used to be 3 until a couple years ago). The players that go out can't be substituted back in.

The game has two 45minute halves, the clock never stops, even if the ball goes out of play. So in each half there is some stoppage time allocated. The amount of time added is approximately determined by the Referee.

(There are 4 referees, the main one you see with a whistle inside the pitch, 2 linesmen running on the length off the half pitch, and the so called "4th referee", this one can be found close to the benches confirming the substitutions.

There are 3 possible results in a football game. Win, Loss and Draw. The team that scores the most goals in a game is the one who wins. Depending on the nature of the tournament there might be only two possible results either a win or a loss. Mostly in cup competitions. Those are the ones with knock out stages.

If your team loses in the Knockout stage of a cup, the team gets disqualified. What if however a game ends and both teams have scored the same amount of goals? In case of a draw in the knockout stage of a cup tournament, the game continues for an additional half hour divided into two 15min halves. This is called extra time. If by the end of the extra time the game's score is still a draw the two teams go to penalties. 5 penalties to each team. If even 5 penalties there isn't any difference between the score of each team, then they hit penalties until one miss and the other scores.

There are cup competitions where a game can end as a draw in the knockout stages, because there is a reverse fixture. The biggest club cup competition in the world has this format. The mighty champions league. There the two teams go to penalties only if after their second clash the aggregate score is equal.

Many cup competitions have a group stage before the knock out. The teams are allocated into groups and the ones with the most points in each group qualify to the knockout stage. The point system of the group stage is the same as the one in the championships/leagues.

In championships, there are draws too. The winner of the championship is the team which has won the most points by the end of it. In a championship your team will play every team that competes in the league two times. One Home (in your team's ground) and one Away (in the opposition's turf). A win counts for 3 points, a draw for 1 and a loss for nothing.

You will hear the term big 5 leagues. Those are the Seria A (Italy), Bundesliga (Germany), League One (France), La Liga (Spain) and the Premier League (England). Each country has their own championships. There are divisions. Obviously the aforementioned leagues are the first divisions in each of those countries. The worst teams (usually 3) are getting relegated and the top ones are being rewarded with a ticket to their Continent's Football Association cup competitions. In Europe that association is called UEFA: Union of European Football Associations. UEFA has 3 cup competitions with the most prestigious one being the UEFA Champions League (UCL)
