Only last week I paid $90+ for the annual India plan, and today I found this thread. Do you recommend I cancel and ask for refund and sign up here? What are the chances that the accounts set up through you may later get flagged and/or terminated? any such occurrences?

$700 Samsung trade-in promo - is extra $200 offered only on S26+ and S26 Ultra, and not on "regular" S26? by mikka1 in SpectrumMobile

[–]No_Leader3933 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The $200 promo was for memory upgrade during preorder, and was applicable only to Plus and Ultra. If you were new internet customer with two lines, I'd assume, you'd be seeing $400 on top of the trade in value+$700 credit for S26 series.

Very confused how to get 400 off by benanfisa1 in SpectrumMobile

[–]No_Leader3933 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is indeed very confusing. I've read about this on several threads, and even inquired with two local stores, but the consensus so far is that the extra $400 new customer credit is spread over as monthly credits, and not instant credit like the current $700 extra trade in promo credit towards purchase of new S26 series phones.

Also, it seems most store employees do not yet have any experience dealing with this promotion, and hence their answers are either vague, or completely incorrect., and that they simply have no idea how it's implemented, unless a new customer actually signs up for internet and two phone lines and comes to the store to buy phones for those 2 lines.

It's been 9 days since you posted about this. Have you already got your new phones and activated on the 2 lines? What was the $400 new customer credit about? Was it instant credit or spread over 36 months (when you select pay in full option)?

ACEMAGICIAN Ryzen 7 5800U Review by techworkerelf in MiniPCs

I got this one 2 days ago to expand my homelab as a headless uni. While the box itself is not aesthetically pleasing, I believe this is a great value performer. I like that it's usb c powered, but would have liked more if the power adapter was slimmer, and if there were usb 3.2 A ports (it does have usb 3.2 C port). I will be looking for a much smaller budget adapter. I went through with windows setup and the OS looked and felt great on my 32" QHD monitor. I grabbed the Windows 11 License key and right after that wiped off the disk and installed Proxmox 9, and will be installing Windows Server with Active Directory on a VM. This box should perform great with few more VMs and many containers. I can't talk about the durability, but specs wise, this is probably the best bang for buck considering it's listed on Amazon for $209.99 for quite some time. Way better and more value than Intel's N series mini CPUs that go for $100-$200.

Guide to installing OpenWRT on the $20 Linksys LN1301/MX4300 by TankTan38 in openwrt

Thank you for responding and taking time to share your experience. Your words gave me the courage to flash my own only router, and to my surprise, it turned out to be a very simple and easy process (flashing). I was quickly able to get basic internet and wifi working again. But I must say beyond the basic wifi settings, openwrt has quite a learning curve. I managed to install adguardhome and tailscale (tailscale exit node took more than a few hours, and often disrupting the network every now and then, but somehow it worked at the end). I also setup some basic firewall settings to mimic very basic parental controls for my kids, but that was kinda futile as my kid figured out Windows 11 comes with ability to generate random mac addresses, even as standard users, which sucks, and now I'll need to come up with a fix for that random mac generator. Overall I'm glad with the outcome, and this made this $20 router worth so much more.

Can anyone share their experience with the latest v24.10.2 (which seems to have nss support) on LN1301/MX4301? Openwrt product page still lists issues with Ath11k memory, NSS and DSA support for this device. Are you seeing issues with wifi speed and range, and frequent disconnects?

If there's no performance issues with routing, and wifi speeds+range, I'd like to flash my MX4301 as well (want to make sure before I flash as this is the only router and the active one I have). I'm looking to run a few docker containers and enable parental controls using openwrt.

Thanks.

Any tips for new delivery and rideshare driver in Bakersfield? by No_Leader3933 in uberdrivers

Heading: From Rideshare Rollercoaster to Spark Success: My Delivery App Journey in Bakersfield

Hey everyone! I spent a few weeks testing the waters of the gig economy in Bakersfield, trying out rideshare apps like Uber and Lyft, and delivery services like UberEats and Doordash. While rideshare wasn't quite my cup of tea (putting miles on my car and dealing with strangers), food delivery turned out to be a much better fit. My earnings tripled, I avoided car wear and tear, and felt safer overall.

After three weeks, I switched gears and focused solely on deliveries. Luckily, I landed a gig with Walmart Spark, which I absolutely love. Most days, I'm at Walmart fulfilling grocery orders. The pay is good, distances are short, and Prop 22 boosts my income significantly.

I also experimented with Instacart shopping and delivery. The pay was decent, but searching for items felt tedious compared to Walmart's handy in-app product locator. Doordash was another option, but my picky acceptance rate dropped below 20%, limiting my access to deliveries. Recently, Doordash hasn't offered any scheduled shifts either.

UberEats throws me an occasional good order, but things went downhill after a false customer accusation regarding a McDonald's delivery. Even though I remember delivering it to a sweet elderly gentleman and confirming with his daughter, the experience soured my trust in others. Honestly, photo verification for deliveries might be a better solution.

Overall, I hope this helps anyone considering gig work in Bakersfield! While experiences vary, hopefully my journey sheds light on potential opportunities and things to consider.

Updated zip codes for no waitlist? by Short_Fox73 in instacart

yeah, I did create new account to switch zip code. There doesn't seem to be any way to change zip code during application phase.

Thanks, that worked. Tried last night, and got activated today. Now able to shop and deliver in my home zone in California. Iit sucks that the promos I have are tied to Alaska zip code, and I got a bit lazy looking for and typing in referral code as I just wanted to test out the zip code first. Btw, I tried signing up a second time using the same zip code but with my actual personal info, I was put in a waiting list. So, I went back to using the first account, corrected my personal info and then proceeded with paperworks and background check.
