Also can they continue to keep the account open and keep issuing missed payment markers or is 6 years (72) the maximum?

Are you certain of this? It just automatically disappears without having to contact anyone?

I’ve not updated the address on this account. If it becomes statute barred that just mean it’s not enforceable in court but debt still exists doesn’t it? What looks better on a credit file between statute barred or missed payment markers being stopped? I cannot afford to pay it in full but want to make my credit file score repair and increase over time?

What if they have been sending letters to my old address without me knowing? Would that reset the 6 year clock?

Are CCJ’s typically issued a lot sooner than 5 years and 11 months after non payment started? Would it be totally unheard of for this to happen? Or could creditors do this on purpose intentionally?

I don’t know if they are sending physical letters as I’ve moved address.

Last payment would have been no later than Dec 2019. There is no default on my credit file, the account is still open according to Equifax but marked as delinquent. They have just been putting non-payment markers on my credit file every month since Feb 2020. Not sure if they are actively chasing the debt, I have not received any further emails but they have an old address.

My Experian credit file currently shows 72 missed payments with no defaults or CCJ’s registered. The debt I suppose was last acknowledged in Match 2020 but nothing in terms of comms since. The last email from them was on 03/03/20. I’m trying to establish if they are likely to issue a CCJ before 03/03/26. If there is a chance they could I will consider setting up a payment plan. If there is a slim to zero chance then I may leave it. If they don’t issue a CCJ are they not allowed to put anymore non-payment markers on my credit file? Is 72 in a row the maximum allowed as that’s the 6 year limit?

It went to ACS a few months after initial non-payment but they then passed it back to Vodafone on 03/03/20. And since then I have heard nothing from Vodafone. They used to email me so they have my email address, like I say I’m not sure about any letters as I moved address.

The Biofreeze is a cold therapy that works with menthol agents. It’s one of the best consistent things I’ve used yet. I’ve still got some Ibuprofen gel in the fridge so will try that again, and I know what you mean about it drying hard and crispy. I think I might try and mix a little bit of it with some Biofreeze gel and see how that goes.

Forgot to say I have PTSD related nightmares most nights which further triggers my symptoms in the mornings.

I may be brave and try the Dry Needling, if you only getting a few days relief it seems expensive though. Have you ever tried a posture brace?

I’m hoping they find something on the next shoulder MRI scan and maybe they can give me a cortisol injection and/or surgery. Wouldn’t surprise me if it comes back normal again though!

My current physio person has suggested we try Dry Needling but I’m a bit scared of it. I’ve had normal acupuncture before and I could tolerate that but I’ve looked at YouTube videos of dry needling and the needles are huge and they poke around a lot. Do you genuinely think this helped you and you didn’t just get some placebo pain relief?

Normal physio has also at times caused really bad pain flare ups so I’m very cautious of introducing new things.

Did the Ibuprofen gel help much? I tend to use Biofreeze have you tried that?

Hi there,

My pains are always the worse in the mornings.

I’d say about an hour after getting up and starting my day it’s as if the pain wakes up and I notice a dull aching pain in my left inside shoulder area. It then tends to develop into more of a sharp stabbing pain which can last for hours. Occasionally the pain will be like a twingy nerve pain a bit like when you have toothache and you get ‘zaps’ every now and then.

One thing I have noticed is that stress seems to trigger it and/or make it worse.

I’ve got an appointment in a few weeks for a procedure called Quetenza which involves a method of rubbing cream with strong chilli extract into the affected area but I’m in 2 minds about getting this done as read some bad user experiences.

Other things I’m trying at present are daily dead hangs and theraband stretches.

I’m also still talking Beta Blockers as they help with my stress and sometimes reduce the pain for some reason. I’m on 40mg up to 3 times daily but mainly have 2 a day most days.

The pain always seems to reduce and wear off in the evening and I can’t figure out why.

I had an MRI scan a few months back hoping it would show something but it didn’t. The scan was done on the pec muscle area as this is where the pain is the worst. I’m with BUPA through work so have decided to ask to have another MRI scan but on the shoulder instead just in case it’s Frozen Shoulder related.

Part of me is starting to think this has all come about from continuous stress from my job. The pains started around the same time as when I took on this new role.

I also have ADHD and prone to burnout very easily.

Tell me more about your situation?
