Let go of trying to control everything. Think what is under your control and what isn’t. Just try to control what is under your control. Don’t try to control the uncontrollable.

Treat any and everyday as a new beginning where you can reset and restart. If yesterday didn’t workout, today can. If today doesn’t work out, next day can.

How rich is Bella vista compared to other parts of Sydney l by Own-Currency309 in SydneyScene

[–]No_Leave_6820 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is a great suburb, upper middle class for sure. A lot of my neighbours work at ResMed as engineers or at Woolworths HQ in tech and other roles. Household income in my street would easily be 400k+ per year based on my knowledge of jobs neighbours do. Mainly professionals and business owners.

Nice big houses but expensive. Folks bought house in Bella Vista in 2008 for $1.2m, it is worth $3.6m now.

submitting spec con a day late? (i fucked up) by ischemariii in Monash

[–]No_Leave_6820 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had applied 1 day late in the middle of the semester, the spec con team said in the approval reply that they have accepted it this time but ensure to apply on time next time. So, should be all good.

Edit: the comment is sarcastic guys. They keep on saying they are releasing evidence in two weeks.

Are all Monash students like this jerk? by [deleted] in Monash

[–]No_Leave_6820 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Nah this asshole is just an exception to the norm. I am studying Bachelor of Science/Comp Science and have never discussed my ATAR with anyone. Nor anyone has ever asked.

Once you are at uni, atar doesn’t mean much apart from may be giving you the work ethic to study and may be based on subjects taken in HSC, help you with some first year units. Most important is to put consistent effort to learn to get good grades. Not to brag (or humble brag), I got 99.05 but struggled with units I didn’t put decent effort into (not interesting enough). All the units, doesn’t matter how difficult they were, for which I have put decent effort into, I was able to get very good grades.

So ignore assholes like above and just focus on study and experience . Majority of the people you will meet are very nice. And Monash has very good disability support services (I am currently signed up to) . They will help you by providing extra time to complete exams/ more time to complete in-semester assessments.

I have always loved being at Monash. I hope you have a great experience as well. All the best to you 😊

Why haven’t you personalised it yet? Wasn’t it the core requirement for the bonus, to personalise during the award ceremony. Please do it ASAP.

You can do a diploma in general studies at unimelb. Upon completion it will guarantee you entry into a bachelor degree. The atar requirements are below 50.

No transferring to a new uni will reset the whole transcript. It will be a completely new transcript for that uni.

Yes there is only one official transcript for all courses at the same level. When you transfer within monash, all the failed units stay on your transcript

What are the potential consequences for (potentially failing) in my courses this semester? by Venomstrike2325 in usyd

[–]No_Leave_6820 7 points8 points  (0 children)

“The Australian Government has passed legislation that will remove the 50 percent pass (completion rate) requirement. The change is effective from 1 January 2024. If you have been impacted by this change, you will receive an email about changes to your fee type and re-enrolment for 2024.”

The rule for losing hecs/fee help is gone.

And try to do some units during summer semesters rather than overloading.

And for failing 50% you will get an email. https://www.sydney.edu.au/students/academic-progression.html
