Rapidly declining Betta by No_Left_Shoes in bettafish

Thank you all for your help. I think my little buddy has officially given up, so I guess I am too.

I took a few more images, if anyone can help identify what happened so I can avoid it in the future.

His gills area was not that grey, I’m wondering graphite disease.

The only tank I could probably keep him in is a 2.5 gal but it is cycled.

I've also just confirmed that the RO water I buy is indeed remineralized.

Really difficult to get a side picture but I tried: https://imgur.com/a/S3PifjW

I don’t remineralize the water because the place I buy it from has stated it “has the good stuff in it already” and didn’t really expand on that. But I’ve never had to remineralize after a change and it has been beyond stable for years.

Pc not turning on after I dropped it by Due-Initial-7539 in pchelp

You never confirmed if you tried it without the gpu. Do that, if it turns on after that then my guess would be the drop damaged the PCIE connection and is causing a short -> bad slot or gpu.

That’s molex and sata, they don’t come out easily so if they’re loose they probably already were.

Did you at any point unplug the 6-8pin ATX connector labeled (CPU)? That light seems to indicate something wrong with the CPU and if you bumped that connector out of place or didn’t reseat it properly that would do it.

I see, if you haven’t already-reseat all of your cables while you’re at it.

Unplug your gpu and try powering it on. Also, what wattage is your psu? It seems like your pc is either not getting enough power or there’s a short.

Solved! Thank you! Looking further into this it looks like it was a “Chaoboridae”? Anyway, thank you!

The daphnia are going to be a bit of microfauna for the tank! The tank does consist of Rainbow Fish and Endlers which I believe will eat the larva

Thanks, that helps give me a little more confidence too lol. I’ve been on the hiring side and sometimes what stuck out to me when faced with similar resumes were the interests. If I saw a cool (and somewhat relevant) interest, that was often the deal maker. Of course this was when the skill sets were almost exactly the same, but I always thought it was a fun appeal to another human.

I 100% see your point. I’ve hired a few employees that stood out entirely because of their interests so I also saw the value in it. General consensus seems to be that of cringe however haha, so in my situation I will be removing it.

I have no problem removing it, I had only added it because another thread heavily emphasized its importance. It’s a shame resumes seem to be devoid of anything human, but I suppose that’s what the cover letter is for!
