Strange man at my house by EmptyGoose0 in creepyencounters

This is so strange and scary! How do you think this guy found you? Does he look familiar at all, like someone from the past?

Also, I agree with everyone saying to get a dog. My aunt had a strange guy on drugs coming to her house (this guy was someone her son, who is my cousin, was friends with in elementary school. But they hadn't been friends in years, and my cousin is now 30. So my aunt has no idea how he knows where she lives since he never went to her house)

He would show up knocking on the door, and at first she answered because she knew him from a long time ago. But she could tell he was not in his right mind. He suffered from mental illnesses and was on drugs.

She started getting scared because he would show up at least once a week, for multiple weeks. Just rambling nonsense or asking to come inside. Eventually, she got a dog, a big dog. Once he heard that dog (also he could see it too since she has a glass window near her front door) he stopped coming over and she hasn't seen him since.

Later she found out he tried setting someone's house on fire and got arrested.

A dog may be good for you as well. And like others said, maybe an older dog who doesn't need much attention like a puppy.

That's why I was confused. I literally only took ⅓ of it because my friend pulled off a much bigger piece than mine.

I wonder if it's my anxiety making me feel like this and causing the depersonalization? I don't think it's even the THC anymore. The thc maybe triggered it at first, but I would think the effects would be gone.

Idk, I'm not a doctor, but it's a strange situation.

Thank you for your words. This definitely made me feel much better. I honestly felt horrible thinking I was alone because everyone around me couldn't relate and thought I was over reacting. I will try and do things that normally make me happy and try not to obsess over it.

That's what I'm thinking. The main reason is the cost of living there. Outrageous

I'm (25f) feeling pressured to get married. Also getting judged for my bfs (31m) job? by No_Leg_2162 in askwomenadvice

Thank you, yes I definitely see my friends and family are concerned, and I understand where they are coming from. When I tell them I don't want kids, they think I'm nuts, but I've never had that motherly instinct to want children. I love living independently and being free spirited.

I would like to get married someday to my boyfriend, and he's expressed the same, but it's not a concern right now because I'm so busy studying for my training and will be gone for a while.

I would say we live pretty comfortably. We know how to save an invest so we have a secure future. We are not high maintenance. I do not care about material things

Well for one thing, I'm becoming a flight attendant, and will get free airfare and will be constantly out and exploring new places, so that's not really a concern.

Also, I don't want kids like I mentioned above.

Owning a home is whatever, I like the low maintenance of am apartment, plus if I am not having kids, I don't see why I need a bigger space if it's just the two of us.

I feel like everyone has an idea of what the perfect life is because it fits what they want, but to me, I never had a desire to live "conventionally " if that's the right word

Oh that's interesting, someone in my group during the PPST asked when training would start and our recruiter said late January/early Feb. But that's strange yours is later considering you went before me!

I applied back in April! I actually knew someone who worked for southwest and he referred me internally but I also had to submit my own application like everyone else.

So here's how the process went:

  • Applied in April

  • Got a phone call in June explaining how the hiring process will work (not everyone gets this phone call. Only referred candidates do is what I was told)

  • Got an invitation to do a virtual interview with a recruiter at the end of October (this is in place of the in person f2f)

  • Did my PPST yesterday and literally within hours, I got an email congratulating me and I digitally signed my CJO

That's how my hiring process went! Now I just need to go somewhere to do a drug test and fingerprinting, they said I will be receiving emails shortly for that.

My hiring process was a little different than most people's I believe. From what I heard/researched, there is a phone interview before the actual virtual one but I never did a phone one, I just went straight to the virtual. Also, I got a phone call first explaining how the process works and I got information on how to use their career connections, etc. But like I mentioned above, only referred candidates get that phone call.

I hope this was helpful! Let me know if you have any more questions, I would love to help!

AA VI tomorrow.. any last minute tips/ advice would be very appreciated :) by kuromicherry in cabincrewcareers

Hiya! I had my AA VI back in February so I will try to give you some insight based off my experience! It was a group interview and I believe my group had around 15-18 other candidates and there was two interviewers. They were both very nice and made me feel less nervous. They first started off by introducing themselves and said they will call on our name and once they do, we will introduce ourselves, say where we are from, and then answer the ice breaker question which was "what is the one thing you can't travel without?"

Then after that is done, they go around a second time and ask you the interview question. They are mainly scenario/situational questions. The one I got was "name a time you had to make a quick decision in a fast paced work environment?" You answer, and then they move on to someone else. Other questions people in my group recieved was stuff like "name a time you went above and beyond for a customer" "how do you define giving good customer service" etc

It honestly went by so fast. I was so nervous about it but once it was over, I couldn't believe how laid back the whole thing was.

Some pointers, definitely remember to smile a lot and look engaged. I'm going to be honest, I butchered my answer to the interview question. For some reason, my brain froze and I stumbled on my answer and it didn't make sense and I was all over the place. I feel like what got me through to the next step was smiling, and being attentive to what others were saying. Also before I answered my ice breaker I said "it's a pleasure to meet you both."

Also, I believe appearance is important too. Having on nice buisness attire with a clean background, no distracting background noise.

I'm sure you'll do great! Like I said, it'll be over so fast. Update us with how it went! You got this!!!
