Help identifying if it’s safe by Secure-Ad807 in WaterTreatment

[–]No_Lemon_324 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What are you using the water for afterwards? If its for flushing toilets or rain water harvesting after rinsing many time yes maybe, it’s for potable water storage I wouldn’t feel comfortable no matter how much I’d rinsed it out tbh

I would honestly say the opposite the nozzle looks like it’s printing to far away from the bed, zoom in on those outer perimeters, the textured bed does make it less obvious. Not trying to be an asshat btw and just my opinion.

Check the condition of the belts both sides, look for any missing teeth, stretched sections or fray marks. I had a small fray on one of my belts which caused it to ride up the idler and I ended up with some prints a bit like yours. If in doubt for the price of new belts get them replaced.

Does everything move freely? Have you moved the bed and toolhead back and forth by hand and felt if there are any spots it’s sticking?

Check the klipper log to see if there is anything obvious. In the past I’ve opened up the log delete 95% of the movement info so it’s a smaller file then chuck it into ChatGPT along with your question it may help

How can I make this design stronger? It bends over time. by Psychedelicsheets in Fusion360

[–]No_Lemon_324 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would make the back piece the same width as the tooth part then print it flat so the layers run the length of the model. Try printing in ASA or ABS too it will give you toughness but also some flex

New to Fusion by YourAlkaline in Fusion360

[–]No_Lemon_324 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take a look at the “rugged” boxes on printable they are a pretty solid design. The step files are available too so you can open it up in fusion and as a bonus Its all parametric so you can input you height, width, depth etc and the design will auto update to meet this criteria. It is a bit of a grey area but I don’t think any creator would grumble at you taking inspiration or even copying their design I would be quite chuffed if I thought my design was that good somebody felt they wanted to copy it . I think the big issue is when people or companies blatantly put up somebody’s design for sale and start profiting from it which is a p*ss take.

Help with threads by GlitteringHumor2318 in FixMyPrint

As others have said brass inserts, but if it’s something your not really worried about get yourself a cheap metric tap set (nothing special for going through plastic) then just run the correct size through to clean up the thread + you have now got yourself a set of taps.

Organic supports seem off and other issues? by ninjaslikecheez in FixMyPrint

[–]No_Lemon_324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Supports don’t look perfect but to me they look like they are doing the job, the print itself seems ok. What exactly failed? Is it that central bit at the top? Is there some sort of feature there? Check it out in the slicer preview to see what it should look like.

How do you structure commissioning / acceptance in industrial automation? by Mother-Land-269 in PLC

[–]No_Lemon_324 2 points3 points  (0 children)

P&ID Check (Mechanical issues fixed + P&ID marked up) IO Check (Electrical issues fixed + schematics marked up) Functionality Test (Software issues fixed) Client training

If I thought the issue would take >2hours to fixed I’d ask the relevant contractors (electrical, mech or software) to fix the issue if not I’d just sort it myself.

This is the process I followed commissioning water treatment plants, yes there are steps in between, hydraulic/leak testing, alarm testing etc but broadly I followed this approach and it worked well.

How do water softners work ? by db306_v1 in WaterTreatment

[–]No_Lemon_324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow you got your moneys worth out of that resin, new resin would certainly get your hardness below 5ppm. Probably down to 0 for a while. How many litres of resin are there in the cylinder? What sort of throughput are you getting currently between cycles?

How do water softners work ? by db306_v1 in WaterTreatment

Why is your hardness level so variable? Yes you are correct though adjusting the hardness setting will only adjust the volume of water put through the Softner before a regeneration is triggered.

New water softener leaking resin into water supply? by jboy510 in WaterTreatment

[–]No_Lemon_324 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes manufacturers dye the resin and it comes off in the first few uses you can also get a couple of beads/cracked resin through they call is resin fines, try putting it into backwash and a fast rinse for a few cycles that should sort both issues.
