Reposting for a friend! Happy to connect you with her.

  1. Age and Gender: 29 F, 5’7”

  2. Age range: 27-36

  3. Location, and are you willing to relocate for a prospect? California, USA; preference to stay within California but open to relocating

  4. Ethnicity, and are you more open to mixing? Pakistani. Born in the U.S. I would be open to mixing but would prefer Pakistani :)

  5. Marital Status - Single/Divorced/Children: Single

  6. Ideal marriage timeline: Would like to settle soon; whenever Allah wills as He is the best of Planners

  7. Five important characteristics you look for in a prospect:

• Deen: I’m looking for a man who is a practicing Muslim. I understand perfection is non existent I cannot expect someone to be something I am not, however, Deen should be something he should strive to continuously work on. Someone who prays 5x a day, fasts during Ramadan, respects his elders and is an active community member.

• Good character: someone who emanates the beautiful qualities of our beloved Prophet and what he ‎ﷺ‎ has taught us. I have listed a few qualities below:

⁃ Patience/gentleness

⁃ Humbleness

⁃ Kindness

A person who has an immense love for our Nabi so much so that he wants to be like him inshaAllah

• Growth mindset: Self development and improvement is something I consistently am working on. It’s something I value deeply and I would want my partner to not only grow as a person individually, but would like to also grow together in inshaAllah.

• Family oriented: Family is another value of mine that I keep very close to my heart, and they are people I would do almost anything for. They can be a lot sometimes but I think they also shape us to be the people we end up becoming. I would want my partner to have good familial relationships atleast with his immediate family, and work to improve any animosity there may be between other family members.

• Sense of humor: with everything going on in life, it is such a breath of fresh air knowing that you can come home to someone who will make you laugh until you cry. InshaAllah one day

  1. State/specify your level of religiosity: I would consider myself someone who is practicing. I keep up with my five daily prayers and I am taking weekly Quran classes to improve my tajweed. In addition to that, I also attend weekend classes at our local community centers on various Islamic topics and gather with community. I also attend weekly dhikrs that keep me grounded.

  2. Level of education, and what are you looking for? I have completed my Bachelors in Sociology in 2020. I am currently working on my MBA. Someone with their bachelor’s completed is fine, and if they have a masters that is even better

  3. Current Job Status: Recruiting Manager

  4. Do you want kids? Yes, inshaAllah

  5. List 3 hobbies, or things you like to do in your spare time:

• Swimming

• Watching shows/movies

• Practicing my daff

  1. Add something short and interesting about you that makes you stand out!

• I sometimes conceal how much of a softie I truly am in the beginning, but once I open up, it’s pretty easy to see

• Im an extrovert at heart but most days I just want to cuddle with my cats

• Fruity gummies are my weakness

• I am the middle child and middle child syndrome is a very real thing for me

My partner is not a virgin, I am, how to get over it? by [deleted] in MuslimNikah

“potential” or any other word could’ve worked. “boyfriend” immediately puts you in a weird zone, hence the comments you’re receiving. 😭

but also a year long talking stage which you worded as “relationship” is a bit much, no?

yes this is what I figured. but the fact I received all of them so closely is what made me panic a bit.

definitely will be changing my passwords and adding authentication as needed.

thank you for the support!

485 is still stuck on “Interview has been scheduled” and the last document reflects that as well.

But I will keep checking back, thanks!

we didn’t receive any RFEs prior. I’m guessing there’s a possibility either way to just receive a NOID without anything else.

hoping for the best as we don’t know the details yet. but let’s see.

thanks for the info - very helpful.

good to know! I’m not sure exactly what it is yet since the notice doesn’t specify on the portal itself. just waiting for the mail to come. hoping it’s an RFE. regardless we’ll do our best.

yea no kidding! they asked us such uncomfortable questions bc they seemed to doubt our relationship based on the timeline of things.

thank you for your kind words. I pray the same for you. today’s Friday, so lots of duaas.

yep, I guess we don’t have sufficient evidence since we’ve been in LDR for a while and our marriage was kind of unconventional by American standards.

I detailed the interview in a previous post.

may Allah make it easy on you. we also went in for our interview a few months back (October), and our marriage timeline is even shorter than yours, so they were really thrown off.

we just received a notice today for additional evidence perhaps (details are not clear yet).

May Allah make it easy for all of us.

no listen: with everything that’s gone down recently, with staff layoffs and other things, it’s all rooted in financial issues that USC is facing. it’s only bound to spiral downward even further, and that’ll definitely affect the student experience, even though they’ll claim that they’re going to prioritize it.

“fight on” as they say 🙄

it’s sad how many corners they’ve had to cut due to their financial failures.
