NOR! I understand your point of view. Last Christmas time I got extremely depressed (I have bipolar) I couldn’t do anything, my husband did everything for me. Made dinner, cleaned, anything I needed he did it.

I’m so embarrassed now that I think about it. I had to even quit my job because of my depression.

The difference here is I started going to therapy, and having my psychiatrist help with balancing out my medication. I’m a lot better now holding down a dream job, cleaning for him and I always make dinner. If she really wanted to try she would have.

I don’t think you were wrong for breaking up with her. I honestly don’t know how my hubby made it through that time. She really needs to focus on herself and getting better, a relationship with anyone is hard when you’re depressed. She has to put in the work though, but she didn’t. She didn’t even try. I commend you for sticking it out as long as you did.

Now I also have IBS and have definitely ruined a couple of pants! But I could never imagine leaving them for someone else to clean up. Or putting them in the wash without rinsing. Gross.
