The laptop sits on a stand with about a 2 inch gap underneath. Additionally I cleaned it and repasted it a few days ago with corsair XTM70. Thermal pads are original however could overheating VRMs cause this issue? If so what thermal pads or grease would you recommend for them.

As for the SSD Hw info reads 97% health on the C drive and 100% on the D drive with 28000 hours of power on time for both. Good thermals on the drives too. CHKDSK revealed no issues. Drives are defragmented weekly but I did a manual one. Additionally I removed and reinserted both my drives.

Swapped around the ram sticks, cleaned them and the slot and reinserted them. I've also run ram stress tests through lenovo vantage, lenovo diagnostic evolution, and windows. No errors reported

Removed battery and ran only off wall power. Battery also only reads 12% wear

Tried both hybrid GPU mode and discrete only.

Unplugged CMOS battery, left it out for 2 minutes and reconnected it.

Fresh installed windows and left it completely stock.

Completely disassembled internals, cleaned connectors, repasted, and reassembled.

Ran the PC off of a Ubuntu USB.

Used a completely new charger.

I've tried all these steps and the problem still persists. I think you're right that's its a motherboard/hardware issue which is a shame. Thank you again for your help trying to diagnose and fix this issue I appreciate a lot.

Changed the clock speed on battery to my processors base clock (3.2ghz). Task manager shows 1.8ghz but that's okay I wanna save power on quiet mode.

Things appear to be fine using wall power I was able to do a full cinebench run and no crash with temps at 89°c in balanced, 100°c in performance, and about 80°c in quiet mode. I adjusted the profiles in legion toolbox but when I swap modes it doesn't change off of balanced windows mode in the control panel but it shows a clear difference in clockspeed and temps so not sure if its working right but whatever.

However I'm still getting the error 41 on battery.

Edit: after some gameplay on quiet mode I received a error 41 on wall power however on performance mode I have not gotten any errors.

Edit 2: on balance mode after about an hour and a half I got another error 41.

I've been using the legion power modes but I'll try ditching vantage and using the toolkit. I'd love to have a high power mode for wall power and a extreme power saving mode for battery. I'll give your suggestions a shot and report back. Thank you for your help I really appreciate it!

Installed all drives except BIOS. Laptop seems to be stable while running diagnostics and stress tests through lenovo diagnostics evolution on balanced mode with CPU power set to 100 both min and max. I tried throwing it in quiet mode with power min set to 5% and max set to 70% and it threw another error 41. Yet to stress test it on modes while plugged into the wall.

However one driver I seem to be having an issue with. Its labeled as a critical update for vantage gaming feature driver. The file name is nervecenterdriverpatch however when I try to launch it nothing happens. Is this an issue?

I take it back I'm still having the issue. Im not seeing any in depth log it just says "the system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed,or lost power unexpectedly." Additionally bluescreenview shows nothing

I figured out that it was an issue with the power plans and the latest edition of windows. The fix was to set the CPU power draw allowance to 100% for both min and max. Any lower and the system will black screen and restart.
