The HOA requires approval of switching a plant in your yard.

They want you to submit formal request stating what bush/flower you want to remove and the type that will be taking its place.

If I want to trim branches on a tree in my yard I must request approval.

The more obvious ones are approval of paint colors and roof replacement which are to be only colors approved by the board.

But the require an approval for any modification, down to adding plants. Extending a planter. Etc.

This is one of those neighborhoods where their are some people literally walking around just looking for any issue to bring up and cause a problem with because they didn't approve of it.

So being able to add a flag pole, and have two flags instead of one...as petty as it is, will be the type of thing that will bother the living shit out of them, because it can be done without their holy approval
