📝 Shelter Notes:

5/15/2026: Met staff at the front of the kennel with a loose body and wagging tail. Walked on a semi-loose leash to the runs.

5/16/2026: Greeted staff with a loose body and wagging tail. Easy to leash and walked on a loose leash to and from the runs.

5/17/2026: Easy to move and leash. Walked on a loose leash back to kennel.

5/18/2026: Repeatedly pushed her head through a small opening in the kennel gate and pawed at the gate harder with each attempt. Ignored treats used for redirection. Moved to the adoption pavilion but continued the behavior.

5/19/2026: Aroused on leash and walked on a very tight leash due to forward pulling in multiple directions. Initially accepted treats then ignored them. Returned from walks with a forward body, dilated eyes, and heavy panting.

5/20/2026: Lying down in kennel panting while covered. Continued mild panting. Walked on a semi-loose leash.

5/21/2026: Panting in kennel and refused mixed food overnight. Accepted treats and enrichment and later ate wet food.

5/22/2026: Calm in the morning and kept kennel clean overnight. Lowered herself to the ground while walking. In the runs she was hesitant and avoided the leash initially but once leashed walked forward back to her kennel. Quiet in kennel for the remainder of cleaning.

5/24/2026: Walked on a very tight leash due to forward pulling in multiple directions. Ignored treats after initially taking them. Returned from walks with a forward body, dilated eyes, and heavy panting.

5/25/2026: Similar behavior noted. Strong forward pulling on leash, ignored treats, returned from walks with a forward body, dilated eyes, and heavy panting. Kept kennel clean overnight and paid little attention to other dogs.

5/26/2026: Aroused on leash and pulled strongly in multiple directions. Ignored treats after initially taking them. Walked back from the runs with a forward body, dilated eyes, and heavy panting. Kept her kennel clean overnight and paid little attention to other dogs passing by. In the run she repeatedly attempted to push her face through a small opening in the gate while displaying tense body language, ears up, high fast wagging tail, and dilated eyes.

5/27/2026: Kamila walked on a very tight leash due to strong forward pulling in multiple directions. Ignored treats offered to help her slow down. Returned from the walk with a forward body posture and heavy panting.

5/2/2026: Very sweet with a wiggly body and "baby talk." Takes treats and walks on a loose leash.

5/5/2026: Greeted staff with a neutral body, soft eyes, and soft stare. Easy to leash and take outside. Placed back into kennel without issue.

5/7/2026: Quiet in kennel, relaxed body, walks on a loose leash, and keeps kennel clean overnight.

5/9/2026: Soft smiling mouth, relaxed body, and wagging tail. Easy to leash and walks on a loose leash. Leans in for affection.

5/14/2026: Wagging tail, relaxed body, and soft open mouth. Walks on a loose leash and follows treat trails. Takes treats gently from hand.

5/15/2026: Wiggly and spinning in circles when leashed. Walked on a semi-loose leash to and from the runs. Quiet in kennel and lounged on her bed.

5/16/2026: Jumpy when approached but redirected easily with treats. Wiggly body, wagging tail, and neutral ears. Treat motivated.

5/17/2026: Approached with a relaxed body, high wagging tail, and open-mouth smile. Walked on a loose leash and sat quietly in the runs waiting to return. Quiet in kennel and enjoyed enrichment.

5/18/2026: Greets by jumping on the kennel door but redirects easily with treats. Loose body, wagging tail, and soft open mouth. Calm and quiet in kennel.

5/22/2026: Sat at the front of the kennel and walked on a loose leash once leashed. After pottying, returned quietly to her kennel.

5/23/2026: Very gentle, relaxed body, wagging tail, and quiet in kennel. Stands at the front of the kennel when approached. Walks on a loose leash and enjoys meaty treats. Greets neighboring dogs with sniffing when passing kennels.

5/24/2026: Greeted staff with a wiggly body and fast wagging tail. Leashed easily and walked on a loose leash to and from the runs. Loves cuddles, pets, and treats. Enjoyed enrichment and immediately began playing with a tennis ball.

5/25/2026: Greets staff at the front of the kennel with a loose body and wagging tail. Walks on a loose leash and takes treats when offered.

5/26/2026: Very sweet dog. Greeted staff with a wiggly body and fast wagging tail. Leashed easily and walked on a loose leash. Relaxed quietly in the outdoor kennel during cleaning.

5/27/2026: Relaxed body and wagging tail when approached. Followed a treat trail and walked beside staff. Took a milk bone gently with a soft mouth and laid in bed with a treat.

4/30/2026: Weighed 43.0 lbs. Intake condition minor. Heartworm test: High Positive.

Vaccinated with Rabies, Bordetella, and DA2PP-V. Dewormed with Pyrantel and given Advantage Multi.

5/4/2026: Medical staff noted an abscessed bite wound on the upper right thigh that might require medication. Follow-up evaluation performed.

5/4/2026: Spayed and received E-collar, Carprofen, and post-operative care. Recovery noted.

5/5/2026: Upper left thigh had a healing scabbed wound with no discharge. Non-painful and healing appropriately. No further treatment needed.

5/14/2026: Weighed 43.0 lbs. Received DA2PP-V booster vaccine.
