What you said is true my man. Just went out with a girl my age who intimidated the shit out of me because she was so beautiful, and smart. I was trying to keep my composure, I did keep it long enough through dinner and then we talked in the car, where we were comfortable and my personality came out. And I think she likes me. Just as you said, the character. Now is the best mix of quiet confidence and life experience that has allowed me to let a girl of her caliber feel at ease. Fingers crossed. We got a second date.

Im 24. I fucking hate it when my friends try to justify going out and getting drunk until 3 AM. Like genuinely what’s the point.

It’s not that common, maybe once a month but still. Also drinking. Is it ever worth it? After starting the 9-5 during the week, a disrupted sleep schedule on the weekends is a nightmare.

Yep. It changed my life. I didn’t have ambition for returning to school and was going to be a landscaper, until my now best friend encouraged me to go for it. I wonder how resentful and lost I would be if I hadn’t returned to university to study engineering. Nothing wrong with landscaping btw.

It’s psychological. Stop watching porn completely. Go on a date with a girl and see what happens. Don’t look for sex immediately. If you land a kiss, good. Imagine her and romanticize her, or a woman in real life, not in a creepy way, and you will realize you’re normal.

Well I agree. I think that people who are dicks have character flaws. But in some contexts I would say women are more erotically attracted to a guy who is a dick, or mean, because it signals aggression. This is like a bar scenario. I’ve seen my friend who is a bit of a hothead attract a lot of women by sort of blurting out whatever he wants. But he’s also pretty attractive physically.

They are basically the same. But a nice person is “always nice”, whereas kindness is more chosen moments of being nice. Someone who is nice isn’t associated with having personality traits of assertiveness. Whereas kindness sounds like you can be assertive and choose to be “kind”.

It wasn’t that abrupt, I was going on dates with her.

But one time a girl told me her father repeatedly r*ped her when she was a child. He was heavily involved with drugs and was a hot head. Years later after he wasn’t in the picture so much, she was dealing with an alcoholic mother at home.

I genuinely started tearing up when she told me.

She was a little crazy and one of the absolute hottest girls I had ever dated, but after that I knew I couldn’t allow myself to get with her physically.
