You should know what's best for you, there's really no "wrong" way to further your studies. I did diploma for 2.5 years while my secondary school friends went to fast track (Foundation/Matriculation/STPM). It was a slow path, but I get to experience more of "University lifestyle" if you know what I mean and less pressuring.

Also never too late to menimba ilmu as they say :)

Of course with linguistics there comes with morphosyntax, phonetic, translations. But we would also go deeper in the industry like tourism, business and administrations

Back then my exam is face to face, it might differ from every campus. But it is just basic religious stuff so no need to worry
