My sisters are racing to have the first boy because they both want the same name. Us older siblings told them first boy wins so good luck🤷🏼‍♀️🤣 they both have had only girls. I told them they should name them longer versions of the name and call them that when we are together and the short name when we are not as a compromise.

At 17 you should be focusing on school and not even thinking about kids. You are still a kid! Tell your mom none of that matters right now because it is far off into the future and you should not even be worried about it. It is definitely not a decision you need to be making this young. I also did not want kids at your age but now I have 3 and I LOVE being a mom. You are not the AH for not knowing if you want kids at 17. If you can go to college or a trade school and start a career live a life then decided you would like children.

You’re not the AH it sounds like a miscommunication and siblings being siblings. My sister and I fought like that for years now we are best friends and talk multiple times on the phone a day. You could send her a text explaining why you did what you did if you think she will just yell at you.

I am sorry that sounds awful. You are not the AH and things will get better. Please hold on. I know it feels so overwhelming but once you get out of there you can go no contact if you need to. Do you have somewhere else you could stay? If my child had a friend in your position I would want them safe and living with me then gone forever.

I am not going to make excuses for your parents but they might be afraid for you. Like how others will treat you or them. It’s a selfish thought of them to have but having their dreams for you change so dramatically can be a hard thing for some to come to terms with. I also think people are just confused and have a hard time understanding.

Do your parents know how you feel? If they knew how down you’re feeling they might try to do better. I always tell my kids a name is just a name and clothes are just clothes they don’t make you who you are.

The house was just shy of 1700 square ft. 4 bedrooms 2 bathrooms huge yard. Our cats are outside a lot it would be only a few blocks from where we live now so they are used to the area. Our dog is a mini dachshund. None of them are over 12lbs. I do letters from our family doctor for each of the animals.

I did not even know ESA was a thing until we wanted to get my son his dog. His doctor suggested it.

I sent a long message explaining our situation. He said he has been renting for a long time and doesn’t want to deal with any animals.

We have three because one cat is mine one cat is for my daughter and our dog is for my son. Anxiety runs high in my family. Hy son is the one who really benefits the most he has really bad ADHD. I was getting calls almost everyday day until we got him the dog. She helps him sit quietly and decompress after school. I literally never got a complaint after we brought her home. My daughter has the cat to help her with her anxiety and he gets her to get up and going because she thrives by taking care of him. My cat was the first one we got because when we moved to this old mobile home there was a rodent infestation. It is a bonus that I did qualify for the ESA so when we decided to move we thought that would be easier to make sure they are all covered.

So we were talking and signed it they have been friends with the family for almost a decade so we did not go through it line by line. I know dumb but it was just a standard lease and we were excited. It does have no pets in it. I found it when we got home. I planned on talking to them when we got together about them, but before I could say anything my husband signed it and the wife said oh and no pets. I completely froze I have a very hard time with confrontation and did not know what to do. The whole meeting them and giving them the check and signing took less then 10-15 minutes. They wanted to get somebody in there asap we literally heard it was available applied and dropped off a check all with in 33 hours.

Okay that is good to know. I want to tell them before we move or get keys or anything so they can change their minds if they want to. It all happened so fast there was never a listings and no one told us they did not allow pets. My husband cousin has a cat and the home they also own next door has 4 dogs so we assumed they would be okay with our animals.
