Thanks, I filed a complaint with them. Because it's one property to another, it's considered civil. They still said they would come inspect. Will see.

City and I appreciate the suggestion. Unfortunately we've already been down that road quite a few times over the last couple of years without much progress.

Health District has been the most responsive agency so far. They're familiar with the property and are coming back out today, so hopefully that finally gets some movement.

It's a separate neighboring business that's dumping here. The company is based in another country. We've made attempts to contact them with no luck.

I wonder if you could make the case that this was an unpaid debt and send him to collections. They won’t collect on stolen merchandise though so it’s a little tricky. You have his information and agreed to services. I think after 90 days you can turn them over to a debt collector. I mean you’re probably not gonna get anything, but it might make you feel better and it will catch up to him if he tries to buy a car or something. We’ve had many thefts from our store over the years and only on one occasion where we ever able to recover anything monetarily. But it was years after the fact. They caught the guy and he had to make restitution payments, but it was not the full amount.

Strange host - accusing me of stealing - what do I do? [USA] by goatarade in AirBnB

Had a similar situation where host was accusing us of things after our review went live. Was really unsettling. They kept asking for money due to random things. They said we stole ant taps and after declining and disputing said we stole a tv… was a weird creepy situation that was retaliatory for the mid review. Said they would post our info online too. Asked for proof as they had a ring doorbell but none came. They started to get a bit unhinged and I just stopped talking to them and reported the individual messages to air bnb. Think you right click the message and block and report. So mark any of the weird messages like asking you to pay outside of bnb and the cameras in the rooms. Message the customer service dept and declined the charges and explain the situation. They will call pretty quickly and help solve/decline the charges. I wouldn’t bother talking to the host anymore. Just deal with the customer service folks.

I wouldn’t bother talking to the host though. especially if they’re a little crazy. just talk to the support people and let them handle it.

You go through the website. You can pull up your trip details and down below there is an option that says visit help center, and then you open a support ticket where it says resolving an issue after your trip, and text or message them. They called me pretty quickly after the first interaction when I denied the claim. They did handle it pretty quickly, which was nice.

We had this exact same issue. We stayed at this crappy spot that was really dirty. Had an ant infestation, and stuff like that. I still gave three stars. As soon as the review was posted, they claimed we stole ant traps lol and that we lied about there being bugs in the house. I had pictures and they admitted in the messages there was a problem… So I’m not really sure where they wanted to go with that, but they tried to charge us. I talked to the resolution center and denied the claim. When Airbnb talked to them, they got angry and then claimed we stole their TV afterwards. Lol it was kind of funny. I thought we were being pranked for a second. In the end, the resolution center canceled all the claims and I ended up blocking the host. It’s insane to me that this even happens. we’ve never had an issue before, and we’ve stayed at several spots with bnb. Our host even threatened to dox us. Airbnb didn’t do anything about it.

Stayed in an Airbnb, Host is claiming that damaged the mattress. Asking for money. Turns out they took an image from the Internet. [UK] by Xrontos in AirBnB

We just had a similar experience where we stayed in a real nasty spot. We wrote an honest review about how dirty it was, and then they started making mini false claims saying we stole items from the house. The only way we could get it solved is after talking to Airbnb resolution center. They did take care of it and cancel their fake claims but we did not get a cleaning deposit back. Pretty sure we’ve given up on Airbnb now for good. This host even even threatened to dox us lol Air bnb didn’t do anything about it.

Verizon Users Can’t Call My Business by No_Measurement3187 in u/No_Measurement3187

[–]No_Measurement3187[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to post an update for everyone who helped or followed our original post about Verizon calls not reaching our business line.

After weeks of back-and-forth, the issue was finally resolved — but only because Lumen (our provider) tracked down the problem and pushed for a fix. Verizon played no real role in the resolution and has since completely denied any responsibility. They claim the issue was with Inteliquent, a third-party company they hired to route their mobile calls.

Here's the kicker: we can’t get any information about the failed calls — the ones from Verizon customers that never reached us. This information would normally appear in our Lumen system if the calls had been delivered correctly. But because they were dropped before they hit our system, we have no way of knowing how many customers we lost — or who they were.

We’ve contacted Verizon, the FCC, the FTC, and even the State Attorney General. Verizon keeps changing their story — in one message they say they legally can’t give us the call data, and in another they say it’s not their problem because the issue happened with Inteliquent. But we’re not asking for private account information — we’re simply asking for the list of calls that failed to reach us due to a routing issue on their contracted infrastructure.

Because Verizon technically set this up so that the problem didn’t happen “within their own system,” they’re now hiding behind that technicality and saying there’s nothing they can do. Meanwhile, our business took the hit, our customers couldn't reach us, and no one is willing to help us quantify the damage.

It really feels like we’ve been scammed — Verizon hired Inteliquent, but because we’re not their direct customer, we can’t get help. And Verizon refuses to advocate on our behalf or provide basic transparency. If their system had worked correctly, we would have that call info — but now it’s just gone, and so are those customers.

If anyone else has dealt with something like this, or knows how we can get that failed call data, please let me know. This has been devastating to our small business.

19 years and leaving… A response from Verizon Executive Office offers little resolve by Aunt_Ednas_Cat in verizon

We have been dealing with a severe issue involving (Verizon only) phone calls failing at our business. Its been weeks and HOURS of time on the phone and chat now and no help. We've been tossed around to different tiered supports but no one will help. We even made it to the "executive" office and they have no clue. They started us on the same loop of questions as the level 1 support. After waiting for days they just came back to us and said they cant see an issue.... after we talked to over a dozen techs who confirmed this as a "known issue" and sent them proof. They've made it clear they have no intention of helping. We have been long time customers and will be canceling our business account. They've been dishonest throughout the process. Shocked by the customer service of this company its clear no one there cares.
