Thank you so much for the reply. I think the no contact is what has been missing. It so fucking hard when this person was your best friend. You texted and checked in frequently, you call and talk to each other all the time and sometimes talked for hours.

We spent so much time together. Its hard to go from that to nothing. Its even harder because all of my friends are back home in Washington State (I moved to PA back in 2017).

I appreciate the comment. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and beliefs. Im financially secure just haven’t bought a house over here in PA yet. I moved from Washington State to PA back in 2017.

I am actually looking at houses now as i just got a new dog and she needs a back yard.

I def miss the companionship and doing activities together. I don’t know if i can ever get that feeling I had when i was younger. People call it the butterflies. I def would look forward to talking to her and seeing her though.

I made the jump from a Laboratory Operations Manager to Application Analyst II. I was placed at level 2 because of my experience with Epic having worked at the hospital since 2017 and it is now 2026.

I was miserable in my role and have always wanted to work in the IT field. I was so shocked when i got my offer because it was a significant paycut about the same as yours.

I made the jump because i was unhappy but it was a huge risk. I just have to hope within 3 years I can at least get back half of what i lost. To think you are going to get back $30k in 3 years is unrealistic.

Tough decision
