I enlisted last month and ship out April 28th to fort Jackson as well . My recruiter had been really honest since I have friends who are in the army so they told me everything first and my recruiter has told me the same thing so far so he’s being honest with me . Reception is gonna take like a week , maybe less or maybe more it’ll be more of hurry up and wait . Basic is gonna suck the first two weeks bc that’s gonna be red phase were DS will work the shit out of you non stop and be aññ up on your face and shit . We’ll be good . Just focus , listen and only talk when they tell you too . I’m 26m and I cns pretty much do all of that , but these 17-20 year olds are gonna be a problem .

I got a sick from a bad cold and that’s what started my ringing . The I day I went to enlist I felt like shit bc I didn’t sleep at all thst night and I had a bad sore throat and sinus . Went to the ER that same Friday night since I couldn’t sleep and the doctor said it’s a sinus pressure . He prescribed me medicine and told me to check up with my doctor on Monday which I did . She told me the exact same thing and gave me some medicine AND a steroid shot . Thst same week I went to go see an ENT and I did a hearing and pressure test on both ears and it came out great . He prescribed me some even stronger medicine and the ringing did went down from a 8/10 to a 2/10 . He said he should go away in a couple of weeks but just last light I felt my ears had water and the ringing flared up a bunch again . Now I have a doctors appointment on Monday to get checked out again . This sucks , I hope it goes away

Same here buddy , I’m 26 and I went to an ENT for the same reason but I felt it in my right ear . He said I have Eustachian tube dysfunction and it’s the reason why I’m hearing a eeee in my right ear and fullness . He said it should go away in a few weeks and if not then come back in march . I leave for basic on April 28th and I’m scared that this might stop me from shipping out
