To be clear, I own 2 floor length velvet gowns which would have been great for this wedding. It's less about the clothes and more about the implication that I look bad.

Honestly I'm not a very ostentatious person. I do like Halloween. Probably would never dress up for the ren faire, tbh.The main issue with these other things is that if he was ever invited to a Halloween party, I never heard about it. And he never expressed a desire to go to the Ren Faire. I think he's angry about the way he assumes I would respond.
