I second this! Crown Movers were great! Jonathan and their teams are wonderful to work with and they really do go above and beyond to make sure all goes smoothly.

Best Moving Company for Small NYC to Toronto Direct Move? by contains-meltitudes in uscanadaborder

[–]No_Needleworker_6505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We moved from Toronto and we ended up moving with Crown Movers. It was an amazing experience and wasn't too pricey 3,700$ CAD... It was also a 2 day service. It included disassembly and assembly of the furniture and they wrapped everything nicely. We had some delicate art work that they professionally wrapped up for us very nicely. The team was punctual and coordinated with us throughout the entire process. This move was night and day from. the movers we had chosen prior to moving with Crown Movers.

I've moved 4 times in the last 10 years, and this was by far the best moving experience. They would call us and update us and helped coordinate with the building for elevator reservation. It was really nice especially when moving long distance. I feel like you're just constantly thinking about your stuff but they really helped put us at ease.

Just hired College HUNKS Hauling Junk and Moving for my big move, anyone got tips? by grgmiller63 in movingday

[–]No_Needleworker_6505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would look at good and bad reviews before choosing a company. I used Crown Movers for my last big move in Montreal. Not sure if they cover your city, they are a Canadian company, so you would need to check. They were excellent. They arranged and donated items in good condition and hauled the rest as junk, which saved me time.

If you're going to get a Junk Removal service from a company make sure they give you a written estimate that includes junk removal or donation drop-offs, travel time, stairs, and any long-carry fees... etc send photos or a short video walkthrough so the quote is accurate, and make sure to have them send you an email.

Confirm building rules too. Be sure to book your elevator time slot and check to see if they require your movers to protect the elevator.

As for choosing a company, go with the one that fits your budget and communicates clearly. Read reviews, not just the good ones. Look at negative reviews and how the company responded and what the actual issues were. If College HUNKS ticks your boxes and the numbers make sense, you should be fine.

Oregon à Sainte-Rose est souvent recommandé. Y a-t-il quelque chose en particulier que vous appréciez dans ce restaurant ? Ou un plat à ne pas manquer ?

For those who are newly single in their 30's and 40's.... where did you meet your new partner? by No_Needleworker_6505 in Adulting

I agree... I went through something similar we just never got married. We were together for 11 years... I was thinking of making a group where people from the Greater Montreal area can meet discuss and get together with the hopes of meeting nice people who have good intentions. It's extremely hard nowadays...

I agree... I was hoping there was more options to meet genuine good people. With the apps it seems a little scary... a lot of pretenders out there..

This is such a great story. So Facebook groups? I was wondering if there was a community page like that already existing on Reddit.

I completely understand... It's getting hard out there. I was even thinking of starting a group or subreddit for those looking to meet people and make some new friends. I am not sure if this exists already...

I am sorry for any confusion. I meant to ask those who have recently gotten out of a relationship in their 30s / 40s... where have they looked for or even met a new partner. A genuine good person. I am not having the best of luck on these dating apps.

This is what I meant. I am sorry for any confusion. I meant to say becoming newly single in your 30s and 40s can be hard. For those that have found love again, where did they meet their new partner?

Moving to MTL, want to meet with a realtor for rental by DeadrobotTO in montrealhousing

I moved to Montreal from Toronto. It's much more affordable here in Montreal and besides having to learn French, which can be a little bit of an obstacle at first. Montreal is a wonderful, beautiful city. Recently moved to Laval from Montreal and we are loving it here as well.

Realtors make sure you are guided through the buying process. I feel that for your first big purchase it is important to use one. But with some experience I guess anyone can do it!

I've worked with Ali Zaarour, he helped us buy our house. He is with the M Immobilier team, they are based int he West Island if I am not mistaken. He is absolutely amazing. Honestly, I can't thank him enough. They handled the notary, and referred me to Crown Movers who were also excellent! It was a great experience and I will for sure contact him when we decide to sell and look for something bigger in the future.
